Free to attend Treasure Hunts with Sharky & George 

We’ve partnered with creative events specialists Sharky & George to create two free-to-attend, interactive treasure hunts for kids and adults alike this summer.  

When:  

  • Friday 20th August 
  • Friday 27th August  

What time:  

The interactive hunts will start every 10 minutes between 10:30am and 3:30pm and each hunt will last approximately 1.5hrs, depending on how fast you complete your challenges!

Where to go:  

When you arrive at the station for the treasure hunt, head to the upper level on to The Grand Terrace where you’ll be welcomed by Philieas Fogg next to The Meeting Place Statue, between Carluccios and The Betjeman Arms.

What to expect:  

Attendees will be welcomed to the station by Philieas Fogg and challenged to participate in an interactive ‘Around the World’ adventure hunt around St. Pancras International.  

Utilising the app, ‘Actionbound’, groups will be led to participate in several exciting tasks with several of the station’s retailers whilst also exploring and learning more about the iconic Grade I listed building’s art, culture, heritage and even music on the iconic public pianos.  

Tasks will include:  

  • Photo challenges 
  • Food tastings  
  • Nerf gun competition  
  • Games including Grandmothers’ footsteps
  • Playing the piano
  • Searching for characters  
  • Finding themed products 

and more.

Food & Drink:  

There’s an impressive range of restaurants, cafes, and pubs at St. Pancras International who cater for eating in or taking away for breakfast, lunch, dinner and more! Here’s some of our suggestions and we advise to book a table where possible before the event days to avoid disappointment. We’ve added a few suggestions below, but see a full list here.

Eating in:  

  • Le Pain Quotidien – Event attendees to enjoy free drinks for kids on event days when food is purchased to eat in (simply show your event ticket)Their menu includes a range of tasty light and substantial meals including tartines, sandwiches, salads, hot dishes, and delectable range of patisserie sweet treats!  
  • Carluccios – Offering a range of hot and cold dishes for breakfast as well as a vast array of authentic and deliciously fresh Italian cuisine for later in the day. Perfect for all the family.  
  • The Betjeman Arms – Best known for their British pub classics, The Betjeman Arms has something to suit all tastes and is ideally situated right next to the starting point of the treasure hunt. They also have an indoor and outdoor terrace.  
  • Kineya Mugimaru - Expect a fresh, authentic, quick and an affordable menu of udon noodles in broths with side orders of tempura. Customers can adapt dishes to their own needs and with 30% of the menu suitable for vegans, there’s something for everyone! Noodles are freshly made daily, and all meals will be available for takeaway or dine-in. 

Takeaway:  

  • RemoliEvent attendees will receive a complimentary Cannoli with every regular sized pasta purchased on event days (simply show your event ticket). Visit Remoli's grab & go restaurant for fresh handmade pasta made daily and prepared to order; choose from tagliatelle, spaghetti, fusilli and maccheroncini pasta, then pick your sauce and cheese toppings. Gluten-free, wholewheat and vegan pasta options are also on the menu as well as a selection of pastries.  
  • Greggs - Greggs have long been making some of the nation's favourite pastries and sweet treats! From sandwiches to pastries and their famous sausage roll, pick up something tasty for breakfast and lunch from either of the 2 (yes 2!) station’s Greggs.

Good to Know:  

  • Start times – Sharky & George will welcome attendees at the starting point but if there is a large number of people waiting to start, they will take your name and ask you to return at the next best slot. It gives you time to look around and familiarise yourself with the layout or pick up a quick drink or snack!  
  • Shops – You’ll visit a large range of the shops at the station during your scavenger hunt but find out what more the station has to offer, see a full list of stores here.  
  • Toilets - There are free toilets and baby changing facilities available at the station in The Main Arcade and in The Circle area.  
  • COVID Safety – Our COVID-19 cleaning and safety measures have been Bureau Veritas certified - giving you extra peace of mind for when you visit. Read about our cleaning regimes and COVID safety here. We’d ask that you please consider wearing a face mask in the station. 
  • Security – The station is monitored and patrolled constantly, both by CCTV coverage and by station staff and the police. If you see anything suspicious, please tell a member of the station staff team or police.
