2021 - Shoemaker got the starting nod in six games for the Lions before an injury ended his season ... Finished the season with a 3-1 record in 27.1 innings with 35 strikeouts and only 12 walks issued while opposing batters were hitting .288 against him.

2020 - Shoemaker pitched in six games for the Lions starting in every appearance... Posted a 4-1 record with 38.0 innings of work allowing 19 runs (17 earned) on 36 hits with 10 walks and 48 strikeouts while maintaining a 4.03 ERA... Defensively posted a 1.000 fielding percentage with two putouts and four assists... One of 17 Lions to land on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

2019 – Shoemaker pitched in 16 games games all that he started … He posted an 8-2 record and had 94.1 innings of work where he allowed 51 runs (36 earned) on 98 hits with 44 walks and 82 strikeouts. He maintained a 3.43 ERA through 424 batters faced… he had an .889 fielding percentage with two putouts and 14 assists.

2018 - An All-MIAA selection as a true freshman, Shoemaker saw action in 13 games with 11 starts, serving as part of the Lions' weekend rotation all season long ... Shoemaker finished with a 5-4 record, a 3.66 ERA and struck out 70 batters in 76.1 innings pitched, helping the Lions set the school record for strikeouts in a single-season. 

Prior to Southern - Shoemaker comes to Southern after a highly-successful run at Aurora High School ... a four-year letter winner on the baseball diamond for the Houn Dawgs and coach James Hoffman ... helped his team to a third-place finish in the State Tournament as a junior and a State Championship as a senior ... A three-time first-team All-Conference selection ... As a senior, Shoemaker was a first-team All-State and All-District pick, the Conference Player of the Year, Ozarks Sports Zone Player of the Year and the Joplin Globe Player of the Year ... finished his career with 371 strikeouts and a 1.07 ERA ... Also a three-year letter winner on the basketball court. 

Personal - Zac is the son of Steven and Tara Shoemaker and is a finance major at Southern.
