About Ansty CC

Cricket at Ansty dates back well into the 19th Century with reports of games being played at the close of the harvest.  There are reports of teams from Ansty and Cuckfield playing each other in 1888.  Having played at several sites around the village the Club moved to its current location on the Recreation Ground before the Second World War.

Ansty Cricket Club has a vision to foster and promote cricket at all ages and genders within the local community and provide opportunities for recreation, coaching and competition.

The aim of Club is to continue to improve the (on and off-field) cricket experience of all members through the provision of improved facilities, coaching and development opportunities within a cricket programme that provides all members and all abilities the chance to play competitive cricket regularly.  The development of young cricketers to fully realise their potential is a central ambition of the Club.
