At Arts University Plymouth we believe higher education is a catalyst for personal, professional and cultural transformation, and now more than ever, creative innovation plays a vital role in a globalised society.
<p>At Arts University Plymouth we explore new horizons and push the boundaries of creative practice, encouraging students to think of themselves as professionals from their first day on campus. Each year our annual showcase offers students the opportunity to celebrate the culmination of their hard work whilst propelling them into the creative industries.<br /></p>
<p dir="ltr">Boasting a wealth of experience and accolades, the Class of 2022 have scooped prizes at <a href="https://rts.org.uk/awards/student-television-awards">The Royal Television Society Student Television Awards</a>, been shortlisted for the prestigious <a href="https://www.proctors.co.uk/design-awards" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Proctor & Stevenson SWDDS</a> and for awards at Graduate Fashion Week.</p>

<p>If you can't make it to this year's Summer Shows, you can still dive into a world of fresh creative talent by browsing some of the online showcases created by this year's talented grads. </p>
Awards
<p dir="ltr">Each year, as part of our Summer Shows, the college recognises the outstanding achievements of students. During our season of events for Summer Shows, we’ll be presenting the following awards to a selection of Pre-Degree, Undergraduate and Postgraduate students:</p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>The Board of Governors Awards</strong> highlight and celebrate the outstanding achievement of students who have overcome obstacles to educational achievement, raised the profile of the college, and demonstrated a significant contribution to college life.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>The Principal’s Commendation Awards</strong> recognise outstanding creative and academic achievement, alongside a sustained contribution to the college community, where the student has produced high-quality work, made significant progress, and made a positive contribution to the programme through excellent studentship.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>The Dean’s Awards</strong> recognise work of outstanding quality, judged on the work to be exhibited in graduate shows.</p></li></ul><p dir="ltr">Nominations are currently being made by teaching staff. </p>
<p>Funded by Arts Council England and the Department for Culture, Media & Sport, IGNITE 2022 presents an <a href="https://www.ignitefutures.co.uk/search-creatives/?institution=pca" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">online directory</a> of emerging graduate talent. In partnership with the University of Plymouth and Plymouth City Council, the Ignite platform presents the international viewing public, press and potential employers with the opportunity to browse hundreds of graduate profiles and portfolios, highlighting the hotbed of creative talent that is the vibrant city of Plymouth.</p>
