Sean Akerman
Sean Akerman is a poet, novelist, and writer of non-fiction. Born in the lakes region of central Maine in 1983, he moved to New York City in 2006 where earned his PhD in psychology from the City University of New York, and went on to hold faculty appointments at Hunter College, Sarah Lawrence College, and Bennington College. In addition to publications of poetry and scholarship in various journals, his books include: the novel, Outposts (Threekookaburras, 2017); the novella, Krakow (Harvard Square Editions, 2018); the poetry collection, The Magnitudes (Main Street Rag Publications, 2019); and a study of exile, Words & Wounds (Oxford University Press, 2019). He lives in the North Woods near Lake Superior's south shore. Currently, he is seeking representation for a novel manuscript about the intersecting lives of three con-artists, and a publisher for his second collection of poetry. | [email protected]
