MotoVermont Employees Displaced Due to Flooding

Hello MotoVermont friends and family,

As many of you are aware, Vermont has endured an incredible amount of flooding over the last few days. I appreciate all who have reached out to check in on us and to see how they can help.

Two MotoVermont employees have suffered extreme losses due to the flooding and are displaced from their homes for an unforeseen amount of time. In response to the messages of support, we are collecting donations that will be contributed 100% to them.

Spenser Peterson is an invaluable asset to not only MotoVermont but the entire northeast motorcycling community. Spenser has worked for MotoVermont for over 10 years and was a key contributor to the creation of the north east backcountry discovery route. If you have taken a MotoVermont tour or have ridden the NEBDR, you can thank Spenser for developing many of those routes.

Spenser purchased a home in Waterbury, Vermont less than one year ago and it has been completely flooded. He, his fiancé and their eight-year-old shelty pup have been displaced from their home indefinitely.

Wayne Longe, our trusted chase truck driver has also had his home in Johnson, Vermont completely flooded. Although Wayne is a typical native Vermont badass, he is also 72 years old and dealing with displacement and a completely flooded home.

Many of you have reached out to us asking how you can help. I have established a go fund me site to help Spenser and Wayne out during this incredibly trying and difficult time. If you are able, I would be incredibly appreciative If you could donate what you can to these two hard-working families.

If you are unable to donate monetarily but are willing to help out physically, please reach out! There is going to be a long cleanup process ahead, and we can use all hands on deck.

Other than already scheduled rentals, MotoVermont will be closed for the rest of the week to help with the cleanup effort. Thank you!
