Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT) has been working collaboratively with local care homes to develop a dedicated training platform landing page for local care partners.

The HIVE, TSDFT’s training platform, has a care providers’ page organised by specific job roles with details of courses, resources, frequently asked questions, and short videos relevant for these roles. It has a featured links section, where courses and information covering current themes in healthcare are highlighted.

Feedback since its launch last year has been extremely positive. The platform now makes searching for courses and relevant resources easier, supports equity of access, quality assurance and commonality in learning and development between care provider and TSDFT staff. The work is part of the Enhanced Health in Care Homes (EHCH) Framework.

The provider page is currently available to care organisations in Torbay and South Devon. To request access, please email tsdft.hivesupport@nhs.net.
