You are receiving this form to enable us to understand the capacity that exists in the Voluntary, Community and Parish Sector. As grant funded or commissioned partners we need to ask you to share the information that you have on staff and volunteers to enable us to re-purpose and re-deploy people who volunteer and work across our system to enable us to rise to the unprecedented challenge we now all face with regard to Covid-19.

It is likely that given the scale of the challenge we will need to potentially link these staff and volunteers into the new Essex Welfare Service (EWS) operated by Provide to ensure we are able to help people both on the ground and dealing with the volume of queries that they are likely to get.

You are all doing amazing work to support people in your local areas. Thankyou.
However, we may well be asking that we re-prioritise what you are doing as organisations to support this work and re-deploy people accordingly.

It goes without saying that Covid-19 / Coronavirus is contagious. Therefore, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are only spreading kindness when volunteering in your local community. Wherever possible and practical to do so, please avoid physical contact and maintain a distance of at least TWO METRES between yourself and others while volunteering, and wash your hands regularly in line with the latest government advice. If you are delivering items, please leave them on the doorstep and let the recipient know that they are ready to be picked up.

Any information submitted using this form will be stored by Essex County Council and only accessed by Essex County Council and those working on their behalf in accordance with their current GDPR and data protection policies. It may be shared with Provide, an organisation that works alongside Essex County Council, and other approved partners such as ECC Adult Social Care solely for the purposes of making sure that respondents are connected directly with members of their local community who are organising volunteering efforts.
