This book was so sweet and pleasant...
I really liked all the Kingston brothers very much and i am way too curious for their turns...
Midge was such a lovely woman!!! I loved her witty moments and her sassy attitude...
Cillian was anything that you could imagine... He was so sweet, so sensitive... A sweetheart with a rough tattooed package...
Midge and Cillian know each other since they were kids...
They are friends, but not best friends... But they're often enjoying each other's company since his brother and her best friend are an item...
At the present, Cillian just broke up with his girlfriend and Midge is just enjoying her free status where she can do whatever she wants freely...
A weekend in the lake, a good company, a future painting, some hot body shots and a game of Truth or Dare later, these two are spenting the night together...

Well, i enjoyed this story a lot...
It was sweet, funny and sexy at times and Cillian with Midge were fitting very good together...
They just needed some time to figure out things!!!
What i didn't like very much is that there were too many sex scenes for my taste and the couple were too chatty on them and that repulsed me a little...
But except that, i did have such a great time reading this book!!!

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Cillian and Midge have been friends for a long while. When they get together for a relaxed and fun night, they don’t expect to end up crossing the line. But they do.
This is my first Isabel Lucero read. I don’t quite remember how I stumbled upon this read, but I don’t regret it one bit. Cillian and Midge’s chemistry had me hooked from the early chapters. Their friendship was lovely and when it turned into something more R-Rated, it was steamy hot! Their intimate scenes were everything. It was very easy to read and I found myself reading pages on end without checking the time or what percentage I was at (and I usually do that ALL THE TIME LOL). I lost myself in this page-turner that was entertaining, romantic, heartfelt and funny.

Truth or Dare was one of those wonderful books that once you start reading, you’re unable to put down because the characters are just so relate-able, funny, sweet and sexy. Truth or Dare tells the story of Cillian and Midge. Cillian and Midge have been friends forever and have never crossed the line into more. That is until one drunken night when a game of Truth and dare opens a can of worms and desire takes over…alas not everything is smooth sailing and the two characters find themselves in a relationship which they both define differently.
I really enjoyed reading about the tattooed, sweet artist that was Cillian. There is a hint of vulnerability to him that is really charming and he comes across as a genuinely nice guy as does the rest of his brothers. Having grown up with tragic circumstances the story shows you how he has become the man he is and how he won’t just settle…even though that’s what he was doing previously.
Midge on the other hand is a character, she certainly drums to her own beat, is outspoken and has crushed on Cillian forever but is afraid to take a risk due to past relationship fails. There are some genuine hot scenes between her and Cillian and some hilarious scenes between both of them and their friends. If only I could be part of this group!
The story keeps you turning the page and although there is some drama it isn’t over the top which is sometimes what can be off-putting in other books. The author writes really well and you are rooting for all of the characters, not only the main ones. I can’t wait to read more from this author and I am genuinely intrigued about the other brothers finding their one!

I loved this book hard. The characters and friendship were so relatable. The way Isabel writes you feel like the characters are your friends. I think, in fact I know this is now my favourite book by Isabel. I loved the banter and storyline of Truth or Dare. Isabel is smashing 2020 already.

5 TRUTH OR DARE STARS!! Truth you need to read this book....I dare you to!! It is so freaking good and worth your time. I absolutely loved Cillian and Midge, they are perfect. Their story goes from friends to lovers with all the feels. This is my first book by this author and will not be last....she is an amazing author.

From best friends to BFWB could luv be in the air? I won’t be the one to spoil this great read, but I find myself lucky to be the first to read this wonderful story. Isabel Lucero hits the spot in all the right places. Luv the characters, luv the storyline, luv it all!

This cover is to die for and caught my attention the moment it was revealed. Then when I read the synopsis and saw that it was a friends-to-lovers trope, I had to read it.
I love this trope and I can tell you that this book did NOT disappoint!
I loved this book extra hard. Midge and Cill had such amazing chemistry and damn it was super hot.
I loved the truth or dare games that got them started and that's what lead them to start having that friends-with-benefits relationship.
Cill wants this to be an actual relationship, he doesn't want to hide it from his friends and family but Midge has a problem with commitment and she's afraid that if things don't work out then things will get awkward with their friends. But Cill's intentions are to make Midge fall for him hard and he doesn't plan on letting her go.
These books that have couples that are friend zoned at first always drive me bananas, but I love that because if there wasn't that lack of communication then what would be the point of the plot right!
Cill and Midge have always had a thing for each other but never acted on it and friend zoned each other from the get-go but technically that's what they think they did but really they didn't or that was not their intention. But I loved how they both thought that neither one was into the other until they started playing truth or dare.

Isabel Lucero drew me into this friends to lovers story from the first page; I kept thinking just one more chapter. I loved the characters of Midge and Cillian as well as the secondary ones.
The story was well written, engaging and it was great to see the growth of both the main characters as the book evolved.
What happens when thanks to a few drinks and a hot and spicy game of Truth or Dare, lines are crossed? Can friends become “friends with benefits” without losing their friendship?
Midge doesn’t believe in relationships whilst Cillian does, a refreshing change. She is convinced that what lies between them will end and doesn’t want anyone to know about their new “friends with benefits” relationship.
What Midge doesn’t realize is that Cillian wants more, it’s not just a fling to him.
I loved Cillian, he is hot, sweet and determined to get the woman he loves, if only he can convince Midge to take a leap of faith, to take a chance on love.
This is a fun, heart warming story that left me with a smile on my face. The characters were easy to relate to and you cannot help but become invested in Cillian and Midge’s story.
This book was a little gem and I am off to look at other books by Isabel Lucero.

Cillian Kingston has been in a creative rut lately. Nothing he paints looks good, and he's a more than a little frustrated. Even after getting out of a toxic relationship, he still lacks inspiration. Midge, a longtime friend, commissions a painting from him, inviting him to a weekend away to get the ball rolling, so to speak. After a few drinks, a normally typical game of Truth or Dare brings out feelings that were previously hidden between them.
I liked Midge. She was outspoken and sassy, yet very vulnerable. She was attracted to Cill for years, but afraid to take things further. Cill is manly, confident, but not an egotistical jerk. Though he's all for taking things further, he's sensitive to Midge's fears and does everything in his power to ease them. He's a not just a great lover - he's a great friend.

Midge and Cillian are two friends who are brought even closer by her best friend and his brother. They are very different when it comes to love and relationships as he has just ended one while she is determined she doesn’t’ want one. They never expected that a few drinks and a game of truth and dare would not only have them testing the boundaries of their friendship but what they want in life as well.

Talk about a love story that spans over time! These two have been in love (or did she say lust???) with each other since they were teenagers. Too bad nothing happened then.
These two decide to give the whole friends with benefits things a try. Of course, that wasn’t going to last.... it only has two ways to end. I won’t keep you in suspense... this one ends with a HEA. Yay!
I loved the story line and I loved the characters! So happy we got to see London and Royce again! And now I can hardly wait to read Ethan’s story!
I highly recommend you try this one! It can be read on its own with no issues.

I freaking love Cillian and Midge. These two friends to lovers is everything. Cill and Midge were good friends in high school. Midge was there for Cill more than she could ever have imagined after his parents passed away. After Cill is newly single and in a creative slump Midge suggests getting away. What happens when you put two single people and lot of alcohol, you get a great game of truth or dare. Cill and Midge let their guards down and give into some hot sexually charged chemistry.
This is my first book by Isabel Lucero and it will definitely not be my last. I was laughing and swooning over these two and couldn't put my book down. It was so worth it to stay up until 2am to finish it! The Kingston brothers are swoon worthy, funny and charming and I couldn't get enough of them. I love the relationship between all four of them. I'm dying to read more about these brothers. I'm hoping the next book is about Elijah!! The handsome older broody brother.

If you are a fan of Friends to Lovers romances, you will absolutely adore Truth or Dare! With the dual POV we are able to get into the heads of both of the main characters, which always makes it more fun to be on equal standing!
All in all this was a sweet but also really freaking hot book with a splash of humor. I am definitely impressed with the author and will be on the lookout for the next book in the Kingston Brothers series! This is a 4.5 star read from me!!

Amazing friends to lovers story with heartwarming moments and hot ones. Those two were made for each other and I can't wait to read the next adventure of the Kingston Brothers. Lucero's writing is on point and Truth or Dare is a perfect read, full of swoons and laughter. I might have cried in the end... Don't hesitate! Read it as soon as you can!

A pleasant friends to lovers story told in dual POVs. I really enjoyed reading Midge and Cill’s thoughts and growth in accepting their true feelings. I really, really liked these characters very much.

l am such a sucker for a good best friends to lovers story and these two didn't disappoint. Cillian and Midge have been friends forever. Opposites of each other but love each other tremendously, of course but both sorta friendzoned each other. Cill and his girlfriend have just broken up, but he's not really devastated about it. He wants to get away and clear his head, Midge has the perfect solution, and he's headed to spend some focusing on a special gift for Midge's mom. So, his brothers included, they all spend the weekend all together at her grandparents old home hours away. A game of Truth or Dare sets off the course to friends with benefits status. They can't get enough, but Midge thinks he's in the rebound but little does she know, he's more involved with them than she thinks. It's time to show her.

Truth or Dare is the second book in the Kingston brother’s series, and I have been looking forward to Cillian and Midge’s story since finishing book 1! I devoured their book in a day, once I started, I didn’t want to stop.
Cillian and Midge have been friends since high school but never crossed the boundary to more even though growing up the both had secret crushes on one another. Until one drunken night and game of Truth or Dare opens up the possibility of a new kind of friendship, the one with benefits. However, when feelings start to develop, and trying to keep their new relationship a secret from their friends and family, will they be able to get through the obstacles together or are they really better off as friends?
Midge was such a strong independent woman; she knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to voice her opinion. However, she keeps her guard up with men thanks to a past relationship and so she has trouble trusting people. This is why Cillian was perfect for her because she already knew and trusted him.
Cillian looked like he would be your typical tattooed bad boy but in reality, he had such a sweet and sensitive side which he kept hidden thanks to his childhood. My heart ached when you learnt more about his backstory and by the end you knew exactly why he was the charming and nice guy he is.
The way that Cillian and Midge bounced off one another with their wit and banter was one of my favourite things, because you could see how good they were for each other. I loved how they were friends first and foremost and that was such a good foundation for their relationship, they felt so comfortable with one another already, although they both learnt new things about each other after they had crossed the friendship boundary. And when they got together, their chemistry was explosive and so hot!
I loved revisiting Royce and London and all the secondary characters which were introduced in On The Rocks (Book 1). I cannot wait for the other brother’s stories; I’m hoping Elijah’s will be next because I have a feeling he has a girl he’s keeping quiet about! He’s so mysterious and I can’t wait to see what his story will be!
From the get-go I was rooting for Cillian and Midge and hoping they got their HEA. I was happy that there was little drama although there was a slight unexpected twist. Truth or Dare was a well written friends to more romance which kept you hooked and eager to find out what happens next and I cannot wait for book three in the series!

Cillian and Midge have been friends since high school but never crossed the boundary to more even though growing up the both had secret crushes on one another. Until one drunken night and game of Truth or Dare opens up the possibility of a new kind of friendship, the one with benefits. However, when feelings start to develop, and trying to keep their new relationship a secret from their friends and family, will they be able to get through the obstacles together or are they really better off as friends?
Midge was such a strong independent woman; she knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to voice her opinion. However, she keeps her guard up with men thanks to a past relationship and so she has trouble trusting people. This is why Cillian was perfect for her because she already knew and trusted him.
Cillian looked like he would be your typical tattooed bad boy but in reality, he had such a sweet and sensitive side which he kept hidden thanks to his childhood. My heart ached when you learnt more about his backstory and by the end you knew exactly why he was the charming and nice guy he is.
The way that Cillian and Midge bounced off one another with their wit and banter was one of my favourite things, because you could see how good they were for each other. I loved how they were friends first and foremost and that was such a good foundation for their relationship, they felt so comfortable with one another already, although they both learnt new things about each other after they had crossed the friendship boundary. And when they got together, their chemistry was explosive and so hot!
I loved revisiting Royce and London and all the secondary characters which were introduced in On The Rocks (Book 1). I cannot wait for the other brother’s stories; I’m hoping Elijah’s will be next because I have a feeling he has a girl he’s keeping quiet about! He’s so mysterious and I can’t wait to see what his story will be!

I was not prepared for the deliciousness of this book, Cillian and Midge had the best, friends to lovers story that gave me all the feels.
Cillian and Midge have been friends since childhood, but nothing else. There has been an attraction but they have never said anything and the other always being in a relationship, until now, when they are both single.
Midge has a lake house that her grandparents own and invites her friends, including Cillian to stay for a few days. Midge hasn’t been in a relationship for a few years after being cheated on and is glad that Cillian is staying so that she isn’t the only single person in their group up there. On their first night, some body shots and a game of truth or dare leads to Cillian and Midge crossing the line and becoming so much more than they thought.
I loved the relationship between these two, they were so right for each other, they had a good friendship, they were playful, funny, sweet and caring towards each other and were hot, so hot and that Prince Albert 😉.
The story had little angst and drama which I didn’t mind as I was so wrapped up in their story and the interactions of the side characters.
This is my first book by the author and I’m so glad I found her. I’ll be going back to read about Royce and London and will be stalking her page for news on the next Kingston brother.

My thoughts on Truth or Dare are YES YES YES! Omg I absolutely loved this friends to lovers story.
Midge is this fiesty smart incredibly wonderful woman. She hasn’t found love yet and she kinda sorta has a crush on her childhood friend. Cillian is SO hot...this gorgeous tattooed artist who just got cheated on and is struggling to find his creative spark again. What neither realizes is that they have both have had crushes on each other forever. Will a game of truth or dare finally lead them to finding their forever together or will they just lose themselves in each other for a little bit?
This story is everything. I didn’t think I could love characters more than Royce and London but I think I actually love Midge and Cillian more. This was just this sweet romance where we watch these two people who are perfect for each other fall in love. And it’s hot...like incredibly steamy. Literally the steam rises from the pages and you will be flushed (and a little...ok...A LOT turned on).
I also like that I got to read about a really awesome man who was kind, smart, talented and knew how to treat a woman. It’s refreshing and so sexy. That was Cillian..a good heart, all those tattoos and a very special piercing. A man who looks like a bad boy but was really a good man? SO HOT!
Overall, I’m still obsessed with this series and can’t wait for the last two Kingston brothers to get their stories.

Midge is anti-relationship after getting her heart stomped to pieces, while Cillian just got out of a relationship as well, making them both have some trust issues, her more so than him. They've been good friends for years, and actually spent more time together since her bestie is in a relationship with his brother. Things take a drastic turn after a drunken game of Truth or Dare, which these two end up flirting with the chemistry that they have in spades but never acted upon, so firm lines were crossed that night, and many more to come. Now, while sexy times are completely HOT, there are complications. See throughout their lifetimes, both had a secret crush on the other but never took the leap, but now, things are moving in a new direction. It's only a matter of time before they catch adult feelings, but it's not as easy as it sounds, because Midge is kind of bad at communication to be honest, which caused more drama than needed to be happening since some of it was unnecessary. Plus, she believes she's just a rebound to him, which isn't helping things at all. This story is full of witty banter, a lot of heat, and a cast of secondaries who only added more goodness. This family unit has many many fun people in it all loving each other. Fun interactions to read. So Midge and Cillian are scared to cross that friendship to lovers line. Newly single Cillian wants to get his creative process flowing in his painting of course Midge wants to help. She asked Cillian to paint a picture for her mom. Of course he said yes. He loves her like his own mom. The perfect place to paint is the lake house full of so many memories of love. The group of friends go to the house for a freedom weekend. Partying and drinking the line is crossed finally. A little lake house magic. Starting their friends with benefits secret Don't fall in love. Two friends with past troubles with relationships find a way. Best laid plans they love so much risking their hearts. This is book 2 in the Kingston Brothers series by Isabel and like the first book, I absolutely loved this one!
After reading On The Rocks I couldn’t wait to find out who’s book would be next up in this series. I was so glad when I found out is was Cillian’s book.
Cillian is a hot, tattooed, broody artist but he’s got a heart of gold and is completely and utterly swoony. You just can’t help but fall in love with him.
I absolutely adored Midge in the first book, so when I found out that Truth or Dare was Cillian and Midge’s book, I may have squealed a little bit lol. I love the fact that Midge speaks her mind and doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks. She’s had her own share of heartbreak that causes her to put up walls, but her years worth of friendship with Cillian makes sure that he is the perfect person to come and knock them down.
I love a good friend to lovers romance and this one definitely ticks all the boxes for me. Now I will be anxiously awaiting to see which Kingston brother is going to get his book next. I’m keeping everything crossed that it’s Elijah.

I really enjoyed this book. It was released in 2020 but it definitely felt older. Isabel Lucero's writing style is something I've been lacking with newer writers. Much more dialog without as much repetitive introspection.
I found that I couldn't put it down.
Midge can be frustrating at times but she has insecurities to work through and that doesn't happen overnight in real life or in this book, but she has meaningful character growth by the end.
Cillian is an undercover romantic and treats Midget with respect and much patience. He's got edge with his body of tattoos and Prince Albert piercing lol.
The side characters were not intrusive and came and went quickly so that the story, for the most part, focused on Cillian and Midge.
There are several explicit but well-written scenes between "Cill" and Midge. But you actually get romance and relationship development in this one. It's not just none stop sex.
Overall, a steady, entertaining read with low angst and sweet romance.
