~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~I have been reading a lot of books lately that have been really great books (overall), but there seems always to be one tiny element that sticks with me and bothers me enough that I can't get into them 100%. This book was actually very, very good. It had great writing. It was well paced. The plot was super engaging. The characters interesting, but I just could not get past the fact that Devin kept their marriage a secret for FIVE years. Going so far as to go on dates with OW (and she went on dates with OM). That isn't love in my book. And, honestly, who puts up with something like that? Sami was portrayed in this book as a super strong and independent heroine, yet she put up with being a dirty little secret for five years? Watched her husband go on "dates" with OW? Watched him get sworn in as a judge from the sidelines? I wouldn't have put up with that for five days, let alone five f-cking YEARS! Even after hearing her lame reason as to why she stayed. I honestly just couldn't get past that level of douchebaggery to find it at all believable that these two would stay together. And ultimately, that is what brought this book down to 3.5 -Stars.
~HERO~
DEVIN...Gosh, Dev was such a mixed bag for me. I LOATHED him for the way he treated Sami before this book. Quite frankly, I found it unredeemable. That said, he is charming and devoted (not to mention hot as F-CK) in this story. Did he grovel enough? NO, not by a LONG shot, but I did feel he was genuinely sorry for the way he acted. I don't know; honestly, for me, his behavior prior was just too disgusting for me to completely warm up to him.
~HEROINE~
SAMINA...Like Devin, Sami was a bit of a mixed bag for me. I really liked her in this book (although I thought she caved into Dev all the time WAY too easily). She was strong. She was feisty. She was independent. A good friend and sister. My main issue was the Sami of this book wouldn't have put up with being anyone's dirty little secret for five minutes, let alone five years. I couldn't quite reconcile the Sami of this book with the Sami that allowed herself be treated like dirt for so long. I mean even Dev's family told her to leave his a$$.
~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~
Lord have mercy there were a plethora of secondary characters in this one. All of which seemed to be in politics or running for some office. A bit like the Kennedy's these peeps were. That said, all of them were exciting additions, and I can't wait to read more about them. Especially Veer!
~HEAT LEVEL~
High. This couple has tons of sex. Smokin' hot sex. Dev may have been a douche, but dude had the moves for sure. This couple also had a fantastic on page chemistry.
~ANGST LEVEL - SEXUAL HISTORIES~
Low. Honestly, for a book about a couple on the brink of divorce, this was a pretty low angst read. Dev has his head out of his a$$ right from the start and Sami pretty much falls right back into his arms three seconds after he declares he is "never letting her go." Neither were virgins (obviously) although Dev was Sami's first (and only). There was a smidge of OW drama. Dev went on dates with OW, and one is nasty to the heroine. Nothing ever happened on these dates, so no cheating. Although, going on a date with an OW while married IS cheating in MY book, but Sami also went on dates with OM, so I guess they had an agreement. There was no OM drama.
SIDE NOTE: One thing that pissed me extra off in this one was that these two were dating other people in the guise of keeping their marriage a secret, and those other people had NO clue that they were on dates with MARRIED people. How shitty is THAT!?
~IN THE END~
I liked it. There was a lot of good in this one. I would even go so far as to say the majority of it was fantastic. The author has a very readable way to her writing. It was fast-paced. The plot was very engaging. The characters were interesting. The sex hot. The drama was kept at the minimum. I just couldn't get past the way Dev treated Sami for SO long. It was just a bit too much, and there wasn't enough groveling. Maybe if it hadn't gone on for so many years. Maybe if he hadn't gone out on dates with OW. I just don't believe you can love someone as much as Dev claimed and treat them that way. Anyway, it is what it is. I'm still going to recommend this one, and I am onboard (and looking forward to) reading the next book in this series.

This book was a little different from the blurb led me to expect, and the place Samina and Devin start in was also one I was not really expecting.
Honestly, I felt that the plot was a little all over the place. Sami is an attorney, Devin is a judge, they have been married for 5 years, although it has been a secret, and they have been dating other people, and no one knows they are married...yet all sorts of people do...and she was running for Senate, but this isn't official yet.
So, in the middle of all of this, and the oddly disjointed stories about her in court, and Devin, and the Senate stuff, and the stuff with her parents and her money...I was supposed to believe that they have been married for 5 years, and that no one knows, but that they are on the verge of splitting up...which everyone seems to know.
I spent the majority of the book not totally believing what I was reading as the plot constantly made me side eye my Kindle. I did like the parts that were focused on Sami and Devlin, and their chemistry was interesting...but there was just too much going on with this one for me to fully become engaged. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't what I was hoping for.
I do recommend this title, and I do want to see what happens next as I am hoping, like with a lot of first books in a series, this one suffers from the need to set up the beginnings of too many stories and once those settle, the other titles will be more cohesive.

I started the book this afternoon and couldn't put it down. This was really such a unique read for me. I loved how this series is centered around powerful and determined women. I loved Sami. I couldn't help but cheer for her. I'm not going to give anything away as reading this with no review spoilers for me was the best part. I am so excited to read more in this series. If you love a book with a heroine who is powerful and determined but still wants a man to take control in her private/bedroom life this book is for you.

Samina and Devin were married a few years ago but they keep having issues. First Devin didn't think Samina choose him over her family...which she feel she did. They keep coming and going back together and apart. They even see other people and no one really knows that they are married or were a couple. In this book Devin wants to try again at their marriage and Samina doesn't seem to be going along with it at first but she does miss their physical connection.
This was a good second chance at Love story.

Sienna Snow is one my favorite authors ever, so when I heard about Celebrity I did a happy dance ! I was so happy about this book, when that book arrived on the kindle I, immediately dived into it ! and OMG it was fantastic. Samina and Devin relationship gave us an honest look into what fighting for your marriage looks like , it was excellent second chance romance, you could see that these two loved each other but they definately had things to work out ,so seeing them work it out was just wonderful and also really hot because this is a Sienna Snow book and she is known to bring the sexy , I rooted for these two from the very beginning and I just loved them togther, so I think after all this gushing it will come to noone as a suprise when I saw I there love story gave me everything I could every want and so much more. However the romance isn't the only thing that you will see in this book . I just loved how Sienna is able to create a balance between the family drama, the court case , Samina new career path and the romance without anything feeling overpowering and also making all of these plot points equally engaging. This book was fantastic and I can honestly say this is one of the best books I have read in 2018 so far .If your wondering if you should pick this book up the anwser is yes go pick it up as soon as you can ! I cannot wait to see what Sienna Snow writes next, I know it will be fantastic.

OH THIS WAS TOO GOOD. the characters made this one so immaculate (very less credit to MMC😭but welll.... he's also entertaining even if he's not making husband of the year list)
I was entertained from page 1 and now im positively brimming w excitement for jaciveer !!!!!!!! they are such cute babies i love them so much 😞💖
the dynamics in the group are so good i had tears fr😭💖 funny and emotional. can't wait for tara to be involved in the group in next book🫂 im sooo excited for ashur and tara 😭
with this book i think ive read enough political romances to understand i kinda love the setting of political romances a little too much! the whole premise of this series is SO PERFECT FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO WANT DRAMA but safe drama lmaoo 😭

When I read the blurb I was excited because I thought finally a story that's going to have a strong successful take no prisoners kind of female character but sadly that's not what I read.
Samina for me was a character with so many possibilities , she's reached the top in a male dominated profession so why make her such a pushover in her personal life. I found the story of her love life so implausible and convoluted that I couldn't take it seriously.
This could have been an empowering female storyline but it just fell flat.

I haven’t read a book with a story line like this and I was very pleasantly surprised . I really enjoyed the authors writing style. Clint Bassett is a Hollywood craze tons of other women want him. He’s in court for a divorce from his cheating wife as well as the fact that they still are in love with each other this is a unusual case for attorney Samina Kumar it has put her in the spotlight and that is something she doesn’t enjoy. Now being in the public eye is causing more problems for her she has separated from Judge Devin Camden which is the man of her dreams but he isn’t ready to give her up. Now Devin claims to be a changed man not ready for a divorce and is planning on winning his spot back at Samina’s side. Since she appears to be single her now ex client Clint is trying to play matchmaker and get his “Hot Stuff” attorney laid. This book was as fantastic I really really enjoyed it. Devin's idea of romance is just a tad messed up, if I say so myself, “I’ve always been possessive of you. Do you think I liked seeing my woman on another man’s arm? Why do you think I effed your brains out the minute you got home?” Devin's mom was a freaking hoot, “leave her alone and concentrate on driving. I expect a teenager to be a constant horndog, but you’re thirty-five. Let go of her and put both hands on that wheel. Don’t you have any self-control?” Devin you know just can't get enough of his woman, “no. Don’t even think about it. Haven’t you gotten enough? You effed me three times this morning.” Boy did I like this book, Devin was a persistent man when it came to his lady.

Entertainment goes beyond Hollywood and into the court system with Celebrity by Sienna Snow. I was hooked within the first chapter and couldn’t be dismissed, not one bit. To have a lead female political heroine who dominates her life was remarkable especially to be paired with a high figured hero in the judgement system was beyond entertainment!
I would have liked to see more clarity on POV at the beginning within the first couple of chapters. It was a little hard to decipher but once I understood… it took off. I would have liked to see an epilogue or more chapters pertaining to the highs/lows of judge vs. attorney to see the dynamic in Samina and Devins relationship, but overall, this was a great book.
Don’t let the title fool you into thinking it’s a Hollywood romance… This should be on everyone’s kindle ASAP. Looking forward to more in the Politics of Love series.

FORGET POLITICS READ ROMANCE | CELEBRITY is a political romance between Samina Kumar- Camden and Devin James Camden. They have been married for several years as Devin purses his career as a Federal Judge while leaving his wife Samina in the shadows.
In those years they have lead independent lives because of his family political drama and her father’s disappointment by not working for the family’s billionaire tech company. As an attorney to high profile clients and Washington’s elite, she has gain notoriety and celebrity status without Devin and a career without the use of her trust fund.
Samina wants to throw her hat in the ring as the next Independent Senator of Washington. And this is where the romance leaves me. As a reader, my personal preference is not to read about politics in romance. This is not an escape for me. I read romances with HEAs to escape the current political climate. Buzzwords like Independent, Democratic and Republican becomes a part of the storyline I would choose not to read about.
The story is well written and the dialogue is exceptional. The author knows how to write good sex. Good sex is their escape from their angst. Paparazzi invading privacy – lets have sex to forget. Each conflict seems to be solved with another juicy sexual encounter. It will not leave you disappointment.

Celebrity is an unexpected joy to read. I didn't know what to think because this is the first I had heard of this author. I can tell you I am excited to see what else she has in store.
The blurb caught my attention and now the author has it. I had fun reading Celebrity. It has a blend of naughty that will keep your libido peaked but it's also family in the best and worst sense. Friends that feel like siblings. People that bicker with love. And Mom smacking her grown adult kids upside the head for inappropriate comments had me giggling.
It's messy and complicated. It had my hackles up and my inner feminist roaring. But Celebrity is the beginning of something more and I intend to be on the campaign trail if they let me.

I was really skeptical when I started this book. I'm in no way interested in politics and I didn't know how I was going to muddle through. But as I read, I realized how well written the book was. How interesting. The storyline was built perfectly. There was career drama and family drama. It was all handled perfectly within the storyline. The author hinted at couplings that would appear in future books of the series. I was pleasantly surprised and I really enjoyed this book. 5 stars

i was like traveling around in my kindle and found this beauty ... how long has that been there kind of situation ... i zipped that up and read like a silly person ...what a great story, awesome characters ... trying to think if i have read any of Sienna's books before? well done... i am going to see what else she does have for me to check out!! loved it ... great story!!

CELEBRITY was sweet, sexy, and intriguing. Sienna Snow delivered an addictive, intriguing tale that was full of emotional angst, humorous at times, and fascinating from the beginning until the end. I really enjoyed reading this book and the momentum of the story keeps you wanting to read more. This story had a perfect blend of steam and the sex was off-the-chart hot! This is the first political romance that I have read, and I am intrigued. This is also the first book that I have read by Sienna Snow, but I assure you it will not be the last. I love the characters of Samina Kumar, who is a brilliant celebrity attorney that is smart, independent, intelligent and sassy. Devin Camden is a federal magistrate judge that is tall, handsome, sexy, and hot as hell. When you are disinherited from a billionaire father, secrets are kept from family and friends, and have a disheveled marriage something is bound to explode. How do you take back control? These and many more are answered in this intriguing book. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next with lots of romance while the strong charismatic characters draw readers in and refuse to let go. You will love this book, and it will draw you in from the beginning to the end.
CELEBRITY was sweet, sexy, and intriguing. Sienna Snow delivered an addictive, intriguing tale that was full of emotional angst, humorous at times, and fascinating from the beginning until the end. I really enjoyed reading this book and the momentum of the story keeps you wanting to read more. This story had a perfect blend of steam and the sex was off-the-chart hot! This is the first political romance that I have read, and I am intrigued. This is also the first book that I have read by Sienna Snow, but I assure you it will not be the last. I love the characters of Samina Kumar, who is a brilliant celebrity attorney that is smart, independent, intelligent and sassy. Devin Camden is a federal magistrate judge that is tall, handsome, sexy, and hot as hell. When you are disinherited from a billionaire father, secrets are kept from family and friends, and have a disheveled marriage something is bound to explode. How do you take back control? These and many more are answered in this intriguing book. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next with lots of romance while the strong charismatic characters draw readers in and refuse to let go. You will love this book, and it will draw you in from the beginning to the end.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book due to the book being about politicians. I'm glad I gave it a try though because I absolutely loved it. It had me hooked from the start and has me wanting more. Great story line and a strong female lead. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I have a feeling it will have me hooked just like this one.

This book was a little bit hard to get into. But when you do you won't want to put it down. Devin helped Sami to be an awesome team. I think this is the first book of Sienna Snow but I loved it..

Where do I start?!?! This book was so good that I read it one sitting - it was a fast, fun, sexy read!
Family issues, relationship issues, professional conflicts of issues, the dark side of the political world, not to mention hot sex - this book has it all and takes you on a fun roller coaster ride!

So let me get this straight... Devin hid the fact that he was married to Sam for 5 years because his father is a Republican and Sam isn't white. If only you could see the look on my face right now.
Also, how did Sam stay with him for so long? Even her best friend, Devin's sister was like "bitch you should leave him" and yet she didn't.
Let me be clear, this book gets two stars because the writing is decent, it isn't shitty writing by any stretch, the contents just kind piss me off.

Wow. This was a smart story that kept me intrigued from the beginning. I read it on one sitting. I loved the behind-the-scenes look at politics, and the twists and turns kept coming. Samina was a spitfire, and I loved her passion and desire to stand up for herself that she has learned. You could tell that Devin had reached that critical point where he knew he had to change, but he had to prove to Samina that he was ready to stand behind her. Great beginning to this series and I can't wait to read more of this world!

What did I just read? I have not read a unique romance story like this one before. So the blurb had me wondering what I was getting into before I started reading this book. But OMFG!!!! Celebrity blew me away! It was the newness I needed from a book. I always feel like I am reading the same plot book after book. But dayum! I got so much more with this story. Sienna Snow brings it with Celebrity and I feel like I need to tell the whole book world how much I love it!
Sami and Devin....With a loving heart I have to say that they are pretty much a f'd up couple. Sami had me trying so hard to understand the choices she made with Dev. When the truth was revealed, my heart broke along with Devin's. The politics part of the story had me insanely hooked. That had me surprised. How did Sienna keep me captured with her words, I have no freaking clue. But that is the beauty of getting lost in the book world. Gah!!! This book can be a standalone, or it has the potential to give you more. I am excited what the author is going to bring her readers <3

This was a book that I couldn't put down and loved it from the start. The setting starts with a believable plot with a twisted love affair around Sami who was a strong woman connected to the politics. Dazzling sex, power to succeed, and a strong connection to her succeed in the bedroom, I won't write something that will spoil it for the next person. I will be reading more of her books because the plot kept my interest enough for me to see how she builds the character up, then they have a fall out. Sami wants a man and wants to be loved, her lover intimidated her, but in the bedroom, he overpowered her. Great story, excellent writer, and would recommend this book as a read you can't put down.
