The Steele Ranch series is about five women, discovering they are half-sisters each and the heirs to millionaire Aiden Steele's ranch and fortune.

The third sister is Cricket, who is on the run from the loan shark she borrowed money for to pay for nursing school. She must go to a really crappy college with no financial aid department. Has she never heard of a Pell Grant? The loan shark is trying to make her work off her debt in his strip club, so she runs away to her long-lost father's ranch, where she's pulled over by a cop who she previously had a one-night stand with (along with two of his friends).

The plot of this book is just so ridiculously preposterous that even though the writing is good, I didn't really like this book. It's definitely the weakest in the series.

I kind of feel like Vanessa Vale kicked it up a notch with Roped. I have read several of her books now and this one just seemed to be... more. More sassy woman at the heart of things. More layers to the relationship I got to watch blossom and grow. And of course more men.

I love that Cricket has another, distinctly different personality from her sisters in their books before her. This helped give a new feel to the story even while, if you're a Vanessa Vale fan, you know some things will be the same. Things like men who are the perfect balance to each other and for their woman. The fact that they'll be protective, rugged, and completely devoted. Things like off the charts chemistry. Those are the things I have come to expect and she never disappoints. But this book gave me an extra dose of all that.

The only thing I ever wish for when finishing one of these books is that the book could be longer. I got so caught up in the story and would have love to spend more time with Cricket and her three men.

YOU GUYS ROPED ME IN—AND YOU ROPED OUR HEARTS RIGHT BACK

Once again, Ms. Vanessa Vale has entertained her loyal readers with another new series. Not only is there some mystery, suspense, danger, surprises, but it is jammed packed full of sexy dominant men and strong but submissive women. The new series will bring five strangers, whom all turn out to be half-sisters, sired by Aiden Steele. While he never did anything for them growing up, he will leave his ranch and millions to be divided between them. The sister never knew their biological father or that they have half sisters. Each story in this series will read as a stand-alone but better if they read in written order.

Christina ‘Cricket’ Johnson was raised in the foster care system, abandoned by her mother and never knew her father. She works two jobs and has slowly been putting herself in nursing school, one class a semester. With car problems, she had to borrow money, and even though she paid it back, the loan shark is not calling the debt clear and comes after Cricket taking her to his seedy club and demanding she strip to pay the debt, and also side work of lap dances and sexual favors. Cricket escapes out of a bathroom window, but she can’t return to her apartment, she must get away to Steele Ranch.

The plot will have Sheriff Archer Wade ready to call it a day when he is passed by a vehicle at 80 mph. When he pulls her over, she identifies herself as Cricket Johnson. Could this be the Cricket that Sutton, Lee, and Archer had a foursome with a year ago and she just vanished? Before he knows it, Cricket asks him to arrest her, holding out her hand for his cuffs. Learning she was on her way to Steele Ranch is a bonus because that is exactly where he was taking her, where Lee and Sutton are waiting.

“The cuffs were the physical proof of this dominance, and he was right, I did want them on. I wanted him to be in control. The fact that he recognized that was heady. Surprising. Appealing. I gave in, gave over. Let go.”

The story will come out about how she was kidnapped, and there was an attempt to force her into stripping before she escaped. Archer will use that with another sheriff’s office to make an arrest. The foursome will be back together, but things are still off. Sutton can be dominant during the day but always leaves at night, leaving her with Lee and Archer, and leaving her hurt and confused.

“Fate? Coincidence? Serendipity?” “I didn’t want vanilla. I wanted Rocky Road. With fudge.”

Cricket will meet two of her half-sisters and their partners, and not only that, both sisters, Penny and Kady, are pregnant by their men. For the first time in her life, she has a family, and not only that, she has three men who say they want her. Can she find happiness with these strong, dominant men and still have her future to be a nurse?

“You’ve got yourself the trifecta of perfect men.”

“They loved differently. They needed differently. Having three men wasn’t going to be easy, but I couldn’t imagine being without one of them.”

Tangled by Vanessa Vale is the third book in the Steele Ranch series but can be read as a standalone. Meet Christina - Cricket - -Johnson. She’s one of Steele’s lost daughters and on the run from bad men. She escapes to her new-found home and the wealth that was left to her by a father she didn’t even know she had. She goes to the ranch for safety not realizing that the men whom she had a wild one night stand with a year before are there. Archer is the town’s sheriff and he is one of the men from her past who has fallen head over heels for her. When Archer brings Cricket to Steele Ranch, she gets the surprise of her life. There is two more men she knows and who wants her back, Sutton and Lee. Lee is the happy go lucky Rodeo Rider and Sutton the dark and broody man with a lot of issues and baggage. All I can say is there is some steamy, no holds barred poly ménage fun going on. In fact, they dived right into a poly relationship. Lee, Archer, and Sutton are very much alpha males- dominant, possessive, sexy, and caring. Cricket is sweet, kind and very beautiful. Their story goes into twists and turns. The emotions run deep in this one along with a lot of hot steamy bedroom scenes. This is one hot read and I never wanted it to end. Do they get their HEA? You have to read to find out.

My Rating: 4.7 stars *****

Cricket had one incredible night a year ago with a cowboy and his two friends.  After sneaking out before dawn she thought she would never see the three mysterious men again.  Finding herself in trouble, Cricket escapes to her new-found home and wealth that was left to her by a father she didn’t even know she had.  As the luck would have it on her new ranch she not only finds her three cowboys she finds two half-sisters and is relieved to find that her sisters both have two men each that they are with.  Cricket needs to figure out if the cowboys are only interested in another one-night stand or can she rope their hearts as easily as they have roped hers.

Roped is the third book in the Steele Ranch series but can be read by itself.  Vanessa Vale brings to life a story in this rough and ready naughty tale with one girl on the run and her three brawny cowboys.  Cricket is a good girl that likes for her cowboys to take the lead and show her who is in control.  This story is not for the weak or faint at heart. It is a full blown hot, sweaty, sexy story that fills the pages and will melt your panties.  With a little bit of action outside of the bedroom the heroine finds her heroes are ready to do what ever it takes to keep their woman safe and satisfied.

Danger and heat add to your enjoyment in this steamy MFMM ménage romance. Sutton, Archer and Lee gave Cricket one night of indescribable pleasure, but it was only one night. In the morning she was gone and they couldn't find her. When Cricket is in danger she runs to Steele Ranch and is reunited with the men that want much more than a single night. Hot, steamy and sexy enough to make you sweat. Good character development and an engaging plot. With a great chemistry and a solid emotional connection between the characters, this is a great addition to this series and a very good read. I'm posting a completely, honest review after reading this book.

These are instalove, MFM, mostly sex, and only a little plot. Vale’s men are over the top alpha/bossy and there can be instances of dubious consent. None of this is my “go to” or favorite. But they’re included with Audible Plus, so why not? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Kylie Stewart narrates all of Vale’s work. Unfortunately her work is inconsistent. Sometimes she has good energy, emotions, and accents and other times there’s no affect at all and it sounds like AI. Occasionally within the same book. For the most part I can finish them, there’s just nothing wow about her performances.

This one was different then the other books I have read by her. I was not expecting a FMMM relationship, but Vale made it work. I liked how Cricket always made sure that her "I can do it myself" attitude never left her. I liked Lee and Archer as well, but Sutton was a bit oblivious to the situation sometimes. I love that we still got to see an appearance made by Kate and Penny, both of who are pregnant now.

Christina Cricket Johnson is a hard working nursing student, who just happens to enjoy a bit of fun when she can get it. A year ago, she had an amazing weekend with three hot cowboys at a rodeo, but since then reality in the form of school and two jobs has ruled her world. When she’s forced to take out a loan from a loan shark to pay her tuition, Cricket finds herself in one heck of a jam when he comes trying to collect “interest” in the form of her stripping at his club. She barely escapes and finds herself heading towards the Steele Ranch she’s just found out she’s inherited as one of Aiden Steele’s daughters.

When Sherriff Archer Wade pulls over the gorgeous young woman who is speeding, he immediately realizes two things. One, she’s afraid of something and two, she’s the woman that he and his best friends hooked up with last year at the rodeo. He recognizes her nickname, but she has no idea who he is since the room had been pitch black to help her explore her fantasy.

When she asks to be arrested, he knows she’s in trouble and immediately calls in for backup in the form of Lee and Sutton. And, now that these cowboys have her back, they plan on taking care of all of her troubles and never letting her go!

I’m a fan of Vanessa Vale’s Steel Ranch series, especially since each book seems to get better and better! I really love how smart and independent Cricket was. She’s a hard worker and knows what she wants out of life. I also love that when she realized she had people willing to share her burdens with her, that she let them. She’s not a pushover, however, and gives just as good as she gets . . .when Sutton tried to keep himself apart due to baggage he has from his time in the military, Cricket doesn’t stand for it and is willing to fight for all three of her men!

Archer, Sutton and Lee combined really want to offer Cricket all they are and all they have. Each is very different personality wise and I loved watching how those traits play off one another and make sure that Cricket has all she needs to be safe and happy. And, I do have to say, while all the men are pure Alpha and all cowboy, I have a soft spot for Jamison!

While part of a series, Tangled can easily be read as a standalone. I can almost guarantee, however that you’ll want to go back and pick up the other books in the series. Tangled has plenty of heat and suspense and makes for a fantastic story! 4.5 stars

Cricket is the heroine in this story, she gets all tangled up with three hot cowboys. Sutton has Cricket in a hotel room, they had a quick, hot connection when they met at the rodeo, then after talking about their wishes and secret desires, Cricket confessed that she fantacized about bedding three men at once, so Sutton calls his two best friends to fulfill Cricket's fantasy. The foursome have one night together and it blows their minds but Cricket wasn't there the next morning. The men are all
disappointed as they felt there was much more to their night with Cricket but would never get a chance to find out if she truely was The One for them. They never got her full name or phone number and could not find her even though Archer was a cop, he failed at finding Cricket too. A year later, Cricket is in trouble, she took a loan from a sleezebag named Schmidt and although she paid him back, with interest, he is demanding more. Schmidt had Cricket abducted from her apartment and was trying to force her to strip and more, to pay back her so called debt to him. Cricket escapes and takes off in her car and next thing we know, she is on her way to Steel Ranch where she was told she owned it along with 4 other half sisters and a father none of them knew about either. She is pulled over for
speeding and Archer is the cop on duty when he discovers her name is Cricket. He calls Sutton right away and verifies she is The One that got away a year ago. Lee the third man Cricket bedded last year is at the ranch along with Sutton when Archer drives Cricket to Steel Ranch and all four of them are reunited. None of their feelings have waned, Cricket, Sutton, Archer and Lee resume their sexual attraction to each other and it's one hot sexfest after another, they really are hot together and feel the easy, but sexual connection stronger than ever. Of course there are problems, Sutton has a past riddled with bad memories and nightmares, so he leaves Cricket every night, but in the care of Lee and Archer. Cricket has her nursing school to finish and Schmidt rears his ugly head again. In all, when it comes down to it, the foursome really do love each other and her men will protect and defend their lady. This is the third sister's story and we have two more to meet in future books. I can't wait to read about them, each sister has her own unique background and meets the men that will complete their lives, usually in a menage relationship. Good Reading Folks!

Probably more like a 3.5 but my simple enjoyment tipped it.

Pros:
-one of the most feminist smutty menage romances I've ever read (in subtle, simple ways)
-consent a constant, vocalized importance
-respect and equality despite dominance and submissive sexual experiences (sometimes lacking in such romances)
-cute, simple, likeable characters
-hot cowboys, duh

Cons:
-needed more development; it felt rushed/glossed over, way too easy. Super short, everything happened too fast and was resolved even quicker. By the time the angst started it had already been rectified. The threat from the beginning was taken care of without nearly enough drama
-some fade-to-black type moments from the sex and the aforementioned drama. I'm looking at you, 'climax' scene (hehe pun)
-characters also suffered development for aforementioned things. They didn't have much depth, their issues not explored enough (them again only one of the hunks had issues), background not discussed besides the cold hard facts of hers. We see her talk about it, but there's no emotion behind the experience. By the sounds of it she bounced around until 18, but that means either she had shitty foster families or she was too much of a handful, either of which should have been explored. Lee and Archer didn't have any drama, or POV chapters outside of fucking her or wanting to. I know this is the third book and I haven't read the other two, but it's different MCs, we should be better introduced to them
-too insta-love-y. In the beginning one of them does state it's not insta love but insta lust, but then everything is rushed to and boom it's the end and they're all professing their undying love. It's been what, two weeks max? By the sounds of it, the other two stories were the same, since It's stated Penny has only been with her men for two months.
Also, I'm all for poly rep, even if it's mostly in smut stories, but all three half sisters instantly falling in love with a peaceful three- or foursome, with no more than a laugh about the situation? That's pushing it.

But, it's a good, simple smutty menage book, and I do love some of that from time to time.

“Lucky number 3s, all around! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ “

I received an Advance Reader Copy for TANGLED (NOTE: previously titled ROPED) (Steele Ranch, Book #3) written by Vanessa Vale and voluntarily reviewed this book. I don’t know if the author purposefully made this the third book in her series, to coincide with the third half sister to show up at the ranch, but I loved Cricket and her three men!

During a rodeo event attended with a friend, Cricket met a hot cowboy named Sutton, with whom she had spent a glorious weekend knowing intimately, to include a special night with a couple of his friends realizing a few more of her deepest and kinkiest desires. But when the next morning came, Cricket pulled a “Cinderella”, unfortunately, without an explanation to any of them.

Sutton, Archer and Lee knew that Cricket was a special woman even after that brief time with her, and none of them could move on after that one gift of a night spend with her in their arms.

So imagine Archer’s surprise when he catches her red-handed speeding through his town on the way to Steele Ranch, recognizing her name on her license, and finally able to put a face to the woman he had the chance to explore intimately in the darkness of their hotel room. Once Sutton and Lee found out all the facts, though, that was it, she was going to stay…and they were NOT going to let her get away again, no matter what she was running from.

POV’s from all four, along with appearances from characters from Books 1 and 2 made for another fabulous and seamless read to this hot & steamy series! Enjoyed the bonds forming of the love & acceptance from all three sisters and their men thus far - I am looking forward to reading about the next sister to come to Steele Ranch!

Cricket has kicked butt to get where she is by depending on her self. When things got a little tight, she did what she had to do to finish her schooling. What she didn't expect was the surprise letter she received about a father she never knew. So when her deal with the loan shark backfired, she knew there was a place she could run to hide, but she back to come face to face with a blast from the past that changes everything.

Sutton, Archer and Lee share one wild night with a woman that slipped throw their finger in the morning. They've long to find her again because they know she's the one they want, she's the one they need, she's The One.

When Sutton, Archer and Lee finally get their hands on Cricket, they vow to never let her leave without knowing just how much she means to them. They will love her with all that they have for as long as she'll let them.

Tangled is a saucy, sultry, scintillating read that captivated the reader right from the start and keep them glued until the sensational end.

I love how strong and independent Cricket is and her determination to achieve her goals. But when it comes to what she wants in the bedroom she's maybe a little shy but she knows who she wants.

Anyone who can walk away from Sutton, Archer and Lee is a lot stronger than me. When those three turn on the seduction... hot dam.

I really enjoyed watching these four work together and build a strong relationship. Their love is deep and intense and no one will stand in their way.

If you need a quick escape with a few cowboys that know how to treat a woman in and out of the bedroom, then look no further than Tangled.

Sutton, Archer and Lee will show you just how much fun getting tangled can be.

I have been a fan of the Steele Ranch series from the first book … and TANGLED hooked me from the beginning of the story to the end. This is a steamy and sultry addition to this awesome series. In this third book, readers are introduced to the 3rd heiress of the Steele fortune to step forward, Cricket. This is a whole can of sassy. I was totally rooting for her from the first couple of pages and definitely give her props for being able to handle herself in stressful situations.

And boy was it a surprise to see that she already was introduced to the men that fall into her life … again. She has a very steamy encounter with Sutton, Archer, and Lee one night and disappears before they can take it further. And surprise, surprise! That passion is still alive and well between all three of them.

But not everything is sunshine and rainbows in their lives. There is angst in a third party that wants more from Cricket than she is willing to give, thus the stressful situation. But also between the characters. There is a choice that must be made that will decide how the group continues their relationship, and that choice needs to be made quickly before it is taken away by someone else.

All in all, awesome additional to the series. I liked the fact that each character got to have themselves heard through the story. Each one brought in something different, but the four of them worked well. This is definitely an insta lust/love story, even when some of them are fighting the pull. Freaking awesome read!

Barely escaping a loan shark who won't take anything but her body as the interest she owes, Cricket hightails it out of town. Never expecting to run into the men she's been dreaming about for months, the men who gave her pleasure beyond any she's ever known; Sutton, Archer, and Lee.

Sutton met Cricket at a rodeo months ago and knew instantly she was the woman for him. After a weekend locked in a motel room exploring each other bodies, Cricket confesses a fantasy and Sutton wanting to please her, delivers. Cricket wants to enjoy multiple men at the same time. Sutton calls upon his best friends, Archer and Lee. It was only a night, but it was a night none of them would forget. The next morning Cricket was gone, no note, no number, no real name. Cricket was her nickname. They were at a dead end. The woman of their dreams vanishes into thin air.

Months later Cricket miraculously was back and these three men are determined not to let her go, no matter what kind of danger she is in.

Roped is hot, hot, hot!

I seriously try to shut off all of my reality when I'm reading any menage because I do not want to think about the laundry pile up when living in a house with three men, but holy hotness, the bedroom fantasies, I do enjoy those immensely. Vanessa Vale is a mistress of writing a hot bedroom scene.

Roped contained a riveting plot line and hot under the cover bedroom scenes. This is a continuing arc in the Steele Ranch series.

Tangled is the third book in the Steele Ranch Series. Cricket has learned early to only rely on herself, so even though she just found out about her inheritance from her unknown father, she finds herself in a terrible situation. She runs away to Steele Ranch, but gets pulled over for speeding. She realizes quickly that she knows this man, intimately, and fate has thrown her together two three men who rocked her world a year ago, and who are stealing her heart now. But when danger catches her unaware, will she be able to have her happy future or will she be ripped away from it all?

Oh my, this book was extra steamy, for that extra cowboy, but was still filled with the love, support, alpha males, and a strong woman that we’ve all come to love with a Ms. Vale book! Cricket was amazing, and I loved her determination to better herself and follow her dreams, even when that includes opening her heart to three men! I loved that her three men, Sutton, Archer, and Lee, all brought something different to the relationship, but loved Cricket just as fiercely as they possibly could! I have really enjoyed this series and thought this was a great addition. I think my favorite part is seeing how different all the sisters are, but also seeing some of their similarities. I look forward to the next book and the next sister!

This is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone, this is the first book I’ve read by this author and what a read it was! I was hooked from the first page and spat out at the end, it was a quick read for me but the story flows well and covers the important bits without feeling rushed. This was a seriously sexy and panty melting hot read that is NSFW! The story is told in multiple points of view and it follows cricket Sutton, Archer and Lee, they have one wild night together, in the morning cricket sneeks out leaving the men wanting more. A year later Archer stops cricket for speeding, realising she’s the woman they have been looking for he takes her to Steele ranch to meet the others, you will have to read to find out what happens next!
there is some drama that happens outside the bedroom which keeps you turning the pages, you get to catch up with previous couples which helps to enhance the story. Overall this was a quick, seriously hot read that I highly recommend, im now off to read the previous books.

Roped by Vanessa Vale is the third book in the Steele Ranch Series. The prevoius books are Spurred and Wrangled.
Rooped is a great addition to this series and fits right in. Meet Christina - Cricket - -Johnson. She´s one of Steele´s lost daughters and on the run from bad men. She´s on the way to claim her heritage and in rural Montana she meets Archer Wade. Archer is the towns sheriff and he´s smitten with her. When he brings her to Steele Ranch she´s in for the surprise of her life. There two more men she knows and who wants her back, Sutton and Lee. Lee is the happy go lucky Rodeo Rider and Suuton the brooding man with a lot of issues and baggage.
All four dive right in a polyamourous relationship.
I started reading and the first thing I did was blush. This book cantains scorching hot, nsfw and very kinky scenes with lots and lots of romantic encounters. I liked the writing and the story and give hot 4 stars.

I received a free copy of this book from the author.

Tangled, formerly titled Roped, is more than a menage.  It's a quad.  This Steele sister, Cricket, met Sutton, Archer, and Lee over a year ago at a rodeo and had one wild night.  Presently she's running from some bad people and just so happen to run to the three men at Steele Ranch.

Sutton can't believe his/their woman has appeared - and is a Steele sister.  What luck!  Only not so much luck for Cricket.  There's some bad guys after her and the men just want to protect her.  Well...not only protect her.  These three keep her very busy, that's for sure.

If you love novels with quite a bit of sexy time this one is definitely for you!  As usual this read really quickly for me. Vanessa Vale's books always seem to fly by when I'm reading them.  There is no m/m action in this story it is all focused on their Cricket.  Some might say she's one lucky woman.

Why settle for just one cowboy when you can have THREE?! ROPED was HOT, smutty and sexy! I liked that the story was told from each character’s POV (being four in total), as it gave an insight into their feelings and motivations. This is a pretty short story though and I felt that perhaps it was a little rushed and underdeveloped. I needed more insight and development in their relationship/s as I found it a bit hard to believe that after one night amazing night together in a MFMM that they were all declaring their love for the heroine and she was THE ONE! I also felt that the scene where the heroine returns to her apartment and is confronted was very anti climatic and glossed over. The reader only got one sentence to explain what had happened rather than actually reading about it as it unfolded. Also the lack of an epilogue left me kinda half hanging. I wanted to know how they made it work in the future. This was still an entertaining read!

5 star

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, naughty fun, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Spurred (Steele Ranch)
Wrangled (Steele Ranch #2)

This is Cricket, Sutton, Archer, and Lee’s story. Cricket had a fantasy that she wanted, and Sutton delivers. These three had one weekend and then she was gone. Months later she is back, and danger is after her. She runs into the three men she has been thinking and dreaming about since their weekend. Can they convince her to stay? Or will she try for another night only to run again? Can he really stay when she knows she might bring danger to the men? These three are not the only men that want a piece of Cricket but can she trust anyone? Will she be able to keep all three men? Or will she lost them all?

I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

Tangled (Formerly Roped) is the next book in Vanessa Vale’s Steele Ranch series, and if you love menage books, you’ll love this tale with THREE cowboys! (Yup, three this time!!!)
Cricket is dragged from her home by a strip club owner and loan shark to be forced to strip. Even though she’s paid him back what she owes him, he insists on her stripping for him. But she manages to escape and she tries to run to the ranch she inherited. But she is pulled over by sheriff Archer, and when he runs her name, he finds out that she is the woman he had an incredible night with a year prior that ran out on him and his cousins.
He and his cousins Lee and Sutton, had an incredible weekend with her. Sutton had an entire weekend with her, but she ran out. They had intended to make her theirs. Now, she’s back, and she’s in trouble! They intend on making her theirs again, and rescuing her!
Can Archer, Sutton and Lee make Cricket stay for good?

I am really enjoying this series. It is a nice break from some of the other things that I have been reading.

Tangled, is the book on the 3rd Steele Sister, Cricket and her men, Sutton, Archer and Lee. Sutton and Cricket meet at a Rodeo over a year ago and after a wild night Cricket disappears to parts unknown. The book opens up with Cricket in some trouble and she takes off, speeding away and Sheriff Archer, pulls her over and finds their mystery girl.

I think that one of one of the reasons that I have really been enjoying these is that even though it is a menage book, There is an actual story line to it. Ms. Vale is an excellent author and she keeps me flipping through these books and devouring every word. And many, those scenes are HOT. I can't wait for the next one in this series!!! I love seeing how dominate and in love that these men are for their woman, and getting a glimpse at the other sisters and their men.

Great series so far!

This is Book #3 in the Steele Ranch series. I have read Book #1 (Spurred) & Book #2 (Wrangled). I started reading this book at 11p. I knew if I started it that I would finish it. I was right since I could not stop reading. Cricket had a night to remember with 3 guys. The next morning she disappears before they wake up. Now Cricket is on the run from a man, who wants to do her harm so she runs to the Steele Ranch where she knows she will be safe. But, before she can get there, she is pulled over by the sheriff, who calls his friend to see if this is "the" Cricket from that night. Her 3 guys are there to protect her. Cricket gets tangled up in the sheets with her 3 men!!

I loved this book!! I love going back to the Steele Ranch and meeting the new half sisters. I wonder if there will be other books in this series. I hope so!
