Needing Moore #5

Moore than a Feeling

Rate this book
"Holly and Aiden broke up? Seriously? No way. Not those two."

Dumped.
No, not only dumped.
Blindsided and dumped.

I thought that Aiden McManus was my forever, my soulmate,
That was until he told me he was still in love with his ex.

I didn't want to believe him.
So, I convinced myself that our break-up was because of his upcoming deployment,
and not because he didn't love me.
Believing that, helped me get through those first months.

But after a while, I realized I just might be lying to myself.
And it was time to move on...

So, I moved on. Or tried to move on, anyway.
But that didn’t work out so well for me, either.
And it practically got me disowned from my family.

After that, I finally started to get my life back together,
I had everything back under control…
…Or so I thought.

Until I found out Aiden was back

And now he’s everywhere I turn,
Still pushing me away,
telling me he doesn’t want me.

But every time he calls me Angel or reaches out to touch my cheek,
I know what he's not admitting to himself –
He still loves me.

And I'm going to prove it to him.

kinda spoiler-ish

Does this blurb sell?? I guess it does for the 4 hundred something rates... 🤭😱 For me.. I would not read it for free even if it was the last book in the world. And to add insult to injury, it’s told in multiple povs and there’s an involvement of heroine and her stepmother’s ex lover.
And when hero comes back from wherever hole he was, he rekindles a relationship with an ex girlfriend from before heroine. 🤔😏😒🧐
Now.. someone please tell me where is the romance in the picture above?! 🧐🤨

I was disappointed.
Our heroine got dumped by the hero. He left, claiming that he was going to go back to his ex and he did not love her anymore.
She gets destroyed and begins a relationship with a guy older than her father. It is a disaster worthy of comedy slapstick.
He comes back fucked up mentally and physically.
Up to 50% of the book the hero is still with the other woman and our heroine is suffering from afar.
I was already out of patience with both of them.
From there it dragged to the end.
But it was nice to know more about her parents.

“Don’t bother waiting for me, Holly. This is the perfect natural-ending point for us. We’re just too different. So, please don’t kid yourself and wait.”

“I’m sure that makes it easier for you to handle, but the truth of the matter is, I’ve been wanting to end things for a while. We’re really different. And I’m happier with a woman who’s more like me. I’ve been thinking a lot about my old girlfriend, Janine, and I’d like to see if we can work things out.”

And she needed to feel special after Aiden’s crushing dismissal of their relationship. And Tom accomplished that task...

But the something she needed to do quickly vanished the moment his girlfriend flung her arm around his waist.

He was leaning across the bar and she was leaning against it, the same waitress from earlier.

It was nice to see Aiden smile again, but those smiles were not being given to her. They seemed to be reserved for the new waitress.

“We fuck great together,” she repeated his words in disbelief, shaking her head. “Nice, Aiden. Real nice.”

There is something comforting about being back with the Moore family, like a familiar warm blanket. Schooner and Mia have surrounded their blended family in love and I feel it every time I read more from this couple.

This is really Holly’s story but there is plenty of storyline featuring the wider family. Holly is still nursing a broken heart after being dumped by her long term boyfriend Aiden, prior to his deployment overseas. She seems to be grasping onto any guy that treats her well which means a few questionable choices that ruffle her parent’s feathers. Her mother CJ takes matters into her own hands, literally, when Holly brings her latest guy to family thanksgiving.

When the family head out for their usual holidays at their beach house on Fire Island Holly is initially reluctant to go, fearing she may bump into Aiden there but the desire to relax in the sun and hang out with the kids wins the internal battle in her mind. It is not long before she discovers that Aiden has indeed returned but not the version she remembers.

Holly knows that Aiden ended things with her out of fear that something may happen to him during deployment that could upset her but in doing so he made them both very unhappy. These two definitely still love each other, deeply. Aiden took it on himself to make the choice for them both, without considering how much Holly would suffer from his decision.

Aiden has a lot of healing to do and Holly can see how much he is struggling to find his way since his return. She just wishes he would do it with her by his side. Getting his life back on track is Aiden’s sole focus now and maybe, just maybe if things work out Holly may still be waiting for him.

I loved being back with this family. Everyone features in this story and I enjoyed the life updates on them all. Schooner and Mia are the glue that hold this family together and their relationship is the foundation of that. Loved this.

Moore than a Feeling was an expansion of the Needing Moore series by Julie Richman.

Holly Moore had been dumped by her true love Aiden McManus. He was being deployed again and not only broke it off before he left, he did it in a cruel way leaving devastation and heart break in its wake. We learned about it in the previous book, Bad Son Rising, Holly’s brother, Zac’s story. Holly’s story then picked up with her bad decisions in the aftermath.

More than a Feeling was emotional and heart breaking. It was also very real. Richman tackled the very serious and dangerous topic of PTSD. Although not a joke, Richman was able to weave some humor into the storyline as well. In the end, it was heart felt and moving within a journey of healing, perseverance and forever love.

I’m not sure where Richman will take us next but I would love a story for Pierce...

The Moores feel like friends and family to me. I have followed them since Mia and Schooner first fell in love and gobbled up more every time a related book came out. We already saw Holly's brother, Zac, fall in love, and I have waited for her to get her full story.

Holly thought she and Aiden would be together forever...and then he shocked them all by breaking it off with her. This sends Holly into a spiral of devastation, but also of self-discovery. She is confused, heart-broken, and living day by day. She is undergoing various transitions and trying to cope as well as she can, while she has never really gotten over him. And some of her decisions are not accepted well.

Aiden McManus is struggling...over his own choices, the path his life has taken, and with finding hope for a future. He does not feel like the man he used to be and feels lost and powerless. He is stubborn and trying to be strong when he does not feel like it. And he does not feel like he deserves love or that anyone will want to stay with him for the long haul.

But Holly is tenacious and has a big heart. Her feelings for him are stronger than the pain he caused and she just wants to help. But Aiden is stubborn, protective, and good at shutting her out. There is such a push and pull between their heads and their hearts. Both have their own issues to face and healing that needs to happen. But for that to occur they both will have to find the courage and will to fight for what they want and need, to compromise, and to be patient.

This is a story of truths, healing, forgiveness, hope, and second chances. It is also about the importance of support and family. And oh what a family this is! I loved spending more time with the Moores and their close friends and family. You never know what is going to happen at a gathering. The dynamics in their diverse group fluctuate from witty rapport and fun to tension filled or even volatile depending on who is visiting. But there is also so much support, love, protectiveness, and understanding. I appreciated getting the multiple points of views and getting to see what the various characters were feeling and thinking. With the vivid descriptions, I felt like I was enjoying Fire Island with them and was part of the story.

This is a humorous, frustrating, tension-filled, angsty, heartbreaking, and emotional journey. The author also tackles some difficult subject matter and handles it honestly...there are real, raw emotions, fears, and issues. It is not something that a bandaid can be put on and that is easily fixed. It takes dedication, work, support, and the will to fight. She also layered the story with some surprises and twists that kept it interesting. She definitely gave us more of the Moores and their entourage. Schooner and Mia are still one of my favorite couples of all time. But it is truly Holly's story of her rocky road to love.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Julie is back with my favorite family - the Moore's!!! I was so excited when I learned she was writing another book involving this family and she did not disappoint.

This Needing Moore series is one of my all-time favorite series and these spin-off books are perfect to keep the family's legacy moving along. Julie does a great job brining the family back together and making Moore Than a Feeling a great read.

Moore Than A Feeling is more than just about the two main characters. We actually get to see how this whole family interacts with one another now. It has this overall vibe of family togetherness. If you have not read any of the previous books in relation to this one, you may not feel that whole vibe, but you also won't be too lost on what is going on. I am hoping that reading about the other family members and how they all came to be this huge family will make you go back and read the others.

Anyway - this book. This is Holly and Aiden's story. It was very much a heart wrenching yet beautiful story. I don't want to give away too many details but Julie really gives these characters depth and it helps relate to them and their decisions. They both have a lot of issues to overcome, both together and individually.

This book is about forgiveness, truth and hope. The value of family and the support system that you get from a strong family unit. There are a lot of tears, laughs and frustration throughout this book. You feel the emotions of these characters and I love that.

Julie delivers another great story with the Moore's. She keeps us on our toes with a few surprises but I love the overall family vibe of this story. When this family gets together - there is no telling what could happen!!

Moore Than a Feeling by Julie A. Richman
Contemporary Romance. Spinoff. Written as a standalone.
If you are a fan of the Needing Moore Series by Julie A. Richman, then stop what you are doing right now and RUN, don’t walk to go buy Moore Than a Feeling . This is a spin-off story about Holly (Schooner’s daughter) and Aiden. Though the romance between the couple stands perfectly well alone, there is as much attention paid to the side characters from the first series as there was to the main couple, and I found it to be a nostalgic visit with the Moores.
"Holly, you have the coolest parents who make the best musical references. I want to be adopted by them."

It had been a few years since I read the Needing Moore Series and I was very concerned I wouldn’t remember enough, but I was pleasantly surprised that this new story dislodged most of my memories, and though getting reacquainted with all the characters was challenging at first, I caught up pretty quickly. But I actually listened to the first series, and because I didn’t like the male narrator, Schooner got on my nerves a little. Well, this time I read it, and guess what? Schooner still gets on my nerves a little. I said it about the original series and I’ll say it again now. Schooner is just too perfect (except his name). But I still loved visiting with Mia and him!
"Looking at Schooner, she shook her head in mock disdain, but the smile on her face told the real story. She had hung on his every word and would forever be thankful, for second chances, and for Schooner Moore finding his way back into her life."

The story is told in a number of different points of view, and I feel that if it were just Holly and Aiden’s in first person it would have helped it seem more like a standalone about them rather than a reunion special, because I really loved their story.

Holly and Aiden were everything to each other until he broke up with her, stating he was getting back with his ex, before going into the army. Devastated, Holly acts out, bringing a man home old enough to be her dad (wait till you see who!). When she joins her family at the Fire Island house for the summer, she hears that Aiden is back, but he isn’t the same Aiden as when he left, and she knew that was probably why he sent her away in the first place. Disfigured and scarred, with severe PTSD, Aiden continues to push Holly away despite the obvious love between them.

Likes:

•Nostalgic visit with a great family.
•All the Long Island and New York landmarks.
•All the visits with the side characters.
•CJ: I loved to hate her.
•How great Mia and Schooner are as parents to an ‘adult’.
•Snarky Seth giving comedy relief.
•The love and acceptance this family has for each other.
•Great portrayal of PTSD
•The crazy Thanksgivings.
•Holly was a good mix of too mature for her age with some immature fits thrown in, exactly right for her age (which was never really revealed, was it?)
•The family love is so clear!
•I feel like I know Fire Island now, it was described so vividly.

Dislikes:

•Once again, Schooner is just too perfect.
•Marketed as a standalone, and though it technically is, I think you will be lost.
•Too many points of view.
•The guy on the cover doesn't fit the story at all. If anything, that's how I see Schooner.

The Down & Dirty:
If you loved the Moores the first time around, you will totally love this nostalgic story that brings back all your favorite characters in an all-new second chance romance. I think there was a little too much attention paid to the characters from the original series to make this a full-on standalone even though the romance can stand alone, but it was a lot of fun visiting with this crazy family in Fire Island for the ultimate nostalgic beach read.

The story was told from so many points of view. There was too much going on and the MCs were not the focus of the story. The first part alone was focused on the drama with the h's current lover (not the H) who happens to be the ex-lover of her stepmother. Just, no.

5 Give Me Moore Stars

The Moore Family is back and oh how I have missed them! The smooth writing and eye for detail puts you right smack in the middle of the family and it’s where you want to be. And even though this is Aiden and Holly’s story, Schooner, Mia and the gang are all there along for the journey. The love of this family is enormous. It’s a strong, comforting hug and deep belly laughs, happy times and sad times, smooth sailing and turbulent waters. It’s Moore than just a romantic tale. See what I did there? But, seriously, the characters are deeply developed, the story is multi-layered and strikes every emotional chord. Moore Than A Feeling gives you everything and it is a family I want to visit over and over again.

Each Moore story is better then the last. And Holly's book is my new favorite.
I may not be able to do this book justice, but i will try.
Aiden is her everything, she is so in love wih this man. And then he breaks her heart into a million pieces. Why you ask, but he has to go over seas again with the Army and he doesn't want Holly to wait.
Mia and Schooner don't believe for a second that Aiden is no longer in love with Holly, but for now they are over. Just a little bomb drop here, Time does not heal wounds. I am not going to give the story away but let's just say there is alot of struggling that happens between the 2.
Side note PTSD is a real thing trying to get back on your feet on your own doesn't work...GET HELP!!!!

Moore than a Feeling is like coming home. Just getting to hang out once again with the entire Moore crew is beyond wonderful for me. I have loved these characters since the very start with Searching for Moore and with this new book, it is safe to say I am forever hooked!

Julie Richman has an undeniable rhythm when she crafts these stories. From the very first words, I am once again thrust into the very core in which the Moore family exists. There is that cozy sense of being together with great old friends, getting to be privy to their oft-time dysfunctional yet very endearing lives. And it is one savory treat.

But this truly is Holly Moore's story. Despite the fact that her heart has been broken by her beloved Aiden, who is off to another tour of duty with the US Army, she is still her father's daughter and will stop at nothing to get back the love of her life. Her tenacity, her ability to comfort, together with her willingness to put her heart on the line had me cheering loudly for her to find the ultimate in happy. She is a great woman, who is clearly not the Malibu Barbie that others may see her as. The true adoration she has for her family is enviable and the support she gets from them is never taken for granted.

The Author gives Aiden the respect he deserves as his time away in battle changes his outlook on life in the most debilitating of ways. I teared up a time or two as he and Holly do a painful dance around each other, fighting what will forever be between them, even as Holly is truly the only one who can help him save himself.

In addition, the Author perfectly combines a difficult subject matter that is faced by many of our military with a lighter side that has always been the Moore way. The banter between these characters is legendary and anyone who sets foot into the breathtaking beach house on Fire Island gets to know that pretty quickly. But it's that sharp wit that has saved this family more than once and believe me when I tell you, humor was never more needed than during many pivotal moments in the book.

I am once again in awe of the Author's dedication to her research, using her own native NY experiences to make this book that much more than special. The references to familiar places that I know of always bring a smile to my face and I couldn't be more grateful for that.

For a book that is not only easy to read but completely engaging from page one, there is so much that occurs for both Holly and Aiden. The words move swiftly and the Author doesn't waste time on giving us a blow by blow of every single day of their lives. I loved that it was separated by sections so to speak, giving us what we needed to know and when. It's never too wordy nor is anything ever gratuitous.

Get ready for fireworks and not just the kind that light up the sky on the 4th of July. When I say every single character in the Moore universe is present and accounted for, I mean EVERY single one. But getting to see another side of the one and only CJ has me kinda wanting her story someday. Go figure! Even Mia and Schooner, perhaps getting a bit older now, had the foresight to have a glass of expensive cognac handy for when that tornado blew through town. The laughs are there for the taking with that one, and they are in abundance, thank goodness.

Who would have ever thought the Pretty Boy from California and the Baby Girl from New York would continue to be a part of our lives? Julie Richman is kinda like their fairy godmother and I'm hoping she still has more up her sleeve when it comes to this crazy, loving crew. They are simply family and a visit or two once in a while is definitely needed.

If you couldn't tell, I absolutely adored Moore than a Feeling and I can't recommend it highly enough.

5 huge stars!

As usual, Julie's writing is superb! I adore the Moore's! It is such a great read & journey down memory lane. Her ability to bring the story to life and make the reader feel as if they are living the story is one of the many reasons I love her books. Your characters are so rich and true-to-life. Holly and Aiden's love and pain are palpable. Julie does a great job of relating Aiden's experiences and pain with real-life struggles that men & women go through on a daily basis (I don't want to say what the struggle is with because it will be a spoiler.). After reading the Needing Moore Series, Zac's story, and Holly's story, it feels as if they are family. I love them all!!! Thank you for another beautiful love story.

Julie Richman is one of all time favorite authors. She is a wonderful weaver of love stories that have you swooning and believing in happily ever afters! I hated to see this story end. I could've read about Holly and Aiden forever. They have a touching and beautiful love story that will stay with you for a long time. It is truly memorable. Thank you truly for taking me on this amazing journey! I can't wait to see what is in store for us next!!!

Dnf - 7%. I’ve read the previous books, so at least I wasn’t lost, but I forgot how much I don’t enjoy the points of views bouncing all over the place. I wanted to hear just from Holly and Aiden. I also feel like there is more “telling” in this book.

I am a sucker for second-chance love stories, and when Julie Richman releases one, I drop everything and read it all in one sitting (staying up WAY past my bedtime).

Holly and Aiden had been deeply in love, but just before deploying to the Middle East, Aiden cuts Holly loose. She’s heartbroken, and just wants to know the real reason why Aiden broke things off with her.

After an ill-advised relationship with a much older man, and year has passed, Holly learns Aiden is back. He’s still not telling Holly why he ended things, and now he’s dealing with the after effects of an accident while he was overseas.

But Holly isn’t deterred by Aiden continually pushing her away. If there’s one thing she learned during the year they were apart, nothing - and no one - is able to make her feelings for Aiden diminish. She’s willing to do whatever it takes to get back to the way they used to be. Convincing Aiden to let her be by his side, though, is another matter.

While this book is considered a standalone, I really think readers are better off having read the whole Needing Moore series. A good portion of this book is spent dealing with Holly’s father, step-mother, and mother. It’s a very contemptuous relationship triangle that I feel a reader should have the full background on so they get the full impact of what is going on. I also would have liked a little refresher on who’s who in this book. Even though I’ve read the Needing Moore series twice, it’s been a while and I couldn’t remember exactly who some of the people were.

As much as I liked this book, there were a couple things that felt like they were missing from Holly and Aiden’s story. First, how old are they? It’s not a big deal, it just gives me some context. Second, exactly what DID happen to Aiden to cause his injuries and PTSD? It’s never explained, and I would have liked to know. Also, they never discuss the relationships they had during the year they were apart. I don’t feel like who Holly was with needs explaining at all since Aidan is the one who broke things off, but I do feel like Aiden owes an explanation to Holly about the choices he made when he got back, and I want to hear them damn it!

Overall, I really liked this book (obviously, since I stayed up until 3AM to finish it). It had plenty of humor, but was also heartfelt. Julie A. Richman consistently writes compelling, multi layered stories with plenty of drama and angst. But I also feel like Moore Than a Feeling was more of a part of the Needing Moore books/a continuing Moore family saga than it was solely Holly’s story. Not that there’s anything wrong with that… 😀

Moore Than A Feeling by Julie Richman was FANTASTIC. I feel like I just spent a few days with some of my very old and dear friends. This book was not just about Holly and Aidan. It was a Moore family book. Catching up with ALL of them made my heart swell. Damn I missed these people. Julie didn't miss a beat with this book, it picked up right where the last one ended. It had all the insurmountable love and laugh out loud humor we are used to from the previous books. The one liners had me in stitches and the tender moments had me in tears!! Julie Richman knows how to do realistic and refreshing dialogue. You honestly forget that these people are just characters. SO REAL!

I was quick to see that Holly and Aidan had a transcendent love like Schooner and Mia. Time nor distance could not diminish what they felt for one another. The heart wants what it wants no matter what the brain tells us.... Our Chivalrous solider Aiden was going to be deployed and didn't want the love of his life waiting for him. For fear he would not come back the same and he would inevitably ruin her life. By breaking up with her, he absolutely BROKE her and himself... They say time heals old wounds, not in this case! When Aiden & Holly see each other again, everything resurfaced especially their feelings but is it too late? OMG I was choked up through out. I felt the intensity of their love and the depth of their despair. Poor Aiden has been through so much but so has Holly... She may not have gone to war physically but mentally she is wrecked. Their journey back to one another would take patience, compassionate and understanding. Could they make it back to one another or are they too damaged? I was on pins and needles!

I freaking loved Moore Than A Feeling. This book has everything a reader could ask for... It's the type of book that you can not put down. Bravo to Julie Richman for continuously giving us magic with The Moores! I pray she keeps giving us more...
The Moore Series is one of my absolute favorites!!

BTW kudos to Julie for reminding us how much our service men & women sacrifice to keep our country safe!!!

Fans of the series have been waiting for Holly's story for 4 years and we finally have it in hand --- just amazing!

Holly has found the man of her dreams but is blindsided when he breaks up with her right before his deployment overseas. Aiden thinks he's doing the right thing by telling her he's still in love with his ex-girlfriend, hoping that it will push her to move on. But all it does is send Holly into a tailspin and a year of wondering what happened to the man who said she was his everything.

Holly tries to move on, but when she finds out her new boyfriend has a past with her stepmom, things don't go over too well. She spends the year avoiding the one place her family loves after finding out Aiden is back and he's not the same.

Holly is torn between doing what Aiden wanted, to move on. Or fighting for the one man who will always have a hold of her heart, no matter what.

Moore than a Feeling was so full of emotions. We get a treat in seeing all of our favorite and not so favorite family members together for Thanksgiving. Full of laughter, love, pain, redemption, and hope - Moore than a Feeling is up there with one of my favorites from the series. (Book one still holds the top spot for me.)

If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend it. It's one of my all-time favorites and Julie A. Richman is a master storyteller. You can read Moore than a Feeling as a standalone, but to get the full background on some of my favorite people ever... Read the series!!

Holly thought she and Aiden were a forever match. They may have been opposites, but they understood the other completely and had built a strong relationship together over the years. She is blindsided when he breaks up with her prior to his deployment. She is even further crushed when he starts dating an ex, a woman completely opposite of Holly.

These two have so many struggles during the course of the story that my head spun. They each make choices that they think are for the best, but are not always met with agreement from the people closest to them. Their mistakes, miscommunications, and misadventures made for a story filled with angst and emotion.

I love returning to the Moore family. This is a dynamic group of people with a history that led them through many troubles, but now we get to see a second generation of Moore’s find their partners. There were times in this book that I almost felt like there were too many voices telling the story, but at the same time I relished getting all their perspectives.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I feel like I've taken a long very satisfying journey. This book is delightful. I love getting to seeing Schooner and Mia with their growing family along with Seth and Henry its a beautiful gathering.
CJ is back in the story!!! and she is perfection. You must read this...she can't be described by anyone but the talented Julie A. Richman.
This book is about Holly, Schooners oldest daughter. It opens with her heartbroken over Aidens break up with her as he is sent into a war zone by the Army. He does end up getting injured, quite seriously and that provides much of this story. Holly is an amazing woman who knows what love means. Her fight for him is epic.
Julie does a fantastic job of describing PTSD. Her depiction of Aiden is painful to read, as it should be.
This is a long and well woven story and I loved it enough to read it twice before writing my thoughts.
Thanks to the author for this wonderful trip.

It was great catching up with Moore family, this time with Holly’s story. I felt like a fly on the wall watching everything going on. This is a story following rich tapestry of family life. That follows through from Holly and Aiden’s break-up. Two thanksgivings and many other family holidays.
Even though this is Holly’s heartbreak, as seen through the eyes of her family, and provides great entertainment with banter and bickering among family, friends and Ex’s. I must admit I felt right at home!
Great read with plenty of entertainment, also tackling Aiden’s problems after being injured and suffering with PSTD. This is a standalone with a happily ever after. I loved it , plenty of laughs even among the pain. This is book with lots of love and heart.

4.5 stars!!

I've been in love with this series from the beginning, and when I heard we were finally getting Holly's story, I could not wait!!

From the beginning of the story I was hooked. Holly is heartbroken over her breakup from Aiden and she really surprised me with who she turned to. With that said, when all is found out, all hell breaks loose. I loved seeing the gang again, and bringing CJ into this was something else. I have no words for her. Mia and Schooner were amazing as always, but Po and Nate were adorable too.

Aiden...oh how I wanted to give him a hug. He thought he was doing the right thing. Was it though? He came back a different person and what he needed was the girl he has loved. Was he ready to fight for her? I loved the support he received from Mia and Holly eventhough things were distant between them. So much happens but you need to experience it for yourself. If you loved this series from the beginning, you will not be disappointed. If you haven't read this series, what are you waiting for?

Julie did an amazing job with their story and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next. :)

This is yet another and hit by Julie A Richman. She beautifully tells the story of another Moore while bringing in key characters from previous books that makes this story well rounded and complete. I can't wait for the next installment of the Moore series of anything else by this amazing author.

What can I say other than I absolutely love the Moore’s and all their extended family.. this book is like going home... you get to visit with them all, including Cj, which of course we all love to hate.. Holly and Aidens story has all The feels, those that serve our country have some of the biggest risk and losses to keep us safe, but true love can center you and bring you back in the here and now... Moore than a feeling is a must read, but if you haven’t spent time with the whole family you’re missing out... Seth keeps you laughing always.. family isn’t just blood related, can I be adopted too... you will love the feels Julie takes you through and the sites of NYC, stooping is a must... also fire island if you haven’t been there, the picture in your mind is picture perfect, once you read theses stories...

Not only was it sweet to read about the Moore's again, Holly's story, my 5*s are selfish; since I am a New Yorker, with Richman mentioning all kinds of Long Island & NY landmarks plus Junior's Cheesecake how could I not give it anything but that rating?! Come on Long Island Expressway, Sagitos Pkwy, Bay Shore, West Babylon...the list goes on and on. Yay!

Truthfully, Schooner, Mia, Nate, Po were a very big of this story and I love that, in fact I wish all authors would do as much. The rest of the gang of course were present occasionally which was good, BUT...CJs presence plus the unexpected rebound for Holly, oh my God, I never would've thought I'd be reading that one day. I'm still shaking my head over that, then Thanksgiving, then calling her Granny...ha! That was spectacular, so funny.

Where to start?
This book was full of everything!
First Schooner ❤️ I couldn’t love him more.
Everything I ever want with all my favorite book characters....Romance, passion, love, drama, heartache, witty characters and ended perfectly.
This book was fresh air on a breezy day!

I enjoyed other books by this author but haven’t read anything by her in a good long while. My dislike of the book is solely related to it being written in third person POV (omniscient). I feel like hearing everyone talk and their feelings...it became a jumbled mess. I sometimes had to go back and see who was thinking or talking. Took away from the story for me.
