I really enjoyed this book. It was a great love story with lots of action but not too much action that you lose the love story. Talia just finished the last part of the formula she has been working on when she gets a panic call from her colleague. When the phone is disconnected. She decides to head down to the lab to check out what’s going on but when she gets there her colleague is no where around. Then she hears a voice and hides. She over hears a man taking about trapping her in her office, so she slips out the back door. She calls the one person she knows will help her, her older brother. He then refers her to the one man she has never been able to get over, Shane. Shane is a protector at heart which also happens to be his career choice. Shane is a bodyguard and there’s one body he would always protect, Talia. Shane has been in love with Talia for many years. He is also best friends with her brother. When she shows up at his house in need of his protection, he will do anything necessary to keep her safe. This is a fun, sexy, suspenseful love story. It will keep you hooked from the first page. Find out if Talia and Shane can overcome their obstacles and still live a happily ever after. Of course they do but read to find out their story.

This is a suspenseful, steamy romance that is part of the Masters & Mercenaries Crossover Collection but is a total standalone. Talia Shaw made an amazing breakthrough on a life saving drug and is now on the run to save both herself and the formula. The only person she can trust to keep her safe is her brothers best friend and her long time crush. Bodyguard, Shane Landon, has been attracted to Talia since grade school but thought he wasn't the right man for her. Now that she is under his protection, he sees that she just might be the perfect fit for his hectic and dangerous life. I enjoyed this fast paced, thrilling romance. It kept me on the edge, completely engaged, and was totally satisfied.
