Four hunky dragon shifter mates can be a lot to handle.
I’d always thought one guy in bed was enough. Now I have four. All the extra pleasure may be more than I bargained for...but it's so good.
On top of that, the orestaia–the fertility stone–is completely inactive. Guess who gets to figure out how to heal it? That’s right. Me.
My plan of action is a bit fuzzy. Actually, really fuzzy. All I know is I’m supposed to head out to the red rocks and blue skies of Sedona to locate the infamous Dragon Oracle.
And if I can't find her? Well, then everyone gets screwed. My sister stays sick. A sleazy oil tycoon keeps breathing fire down my neck. And pretty much all dragon procreation ends.
All of my hopes and dreams for a baby and a family can go straight out the window, too. See you later, dragon race.
I have to heal the orestaia. All of our futures are in my hands. No big deal. Right?
Misty Malloy has a self-diagnosed obsession with hair metal bands from the 80s. When she’s not listening to Guns N’ Roses or writing, you can find her walking dogs at the animal shelter, doing Zumba, or having brunch. She loves happy hour with lots of wine and cheese, sexy historical movies, and alpha males. She lives in Tucson, Arizona, with her husband and their dire wolf dog.
Singed picked up right where Scorched left off. Lyssa needs to go on a journey to heal the fertility stone and it turns out to be quite the adventure. It seems like no one really does what they were told or what was expected. That however just made things more fun and interesting. You learn new things about Lyssa and her sister. You get to know Lyssa's four mates better. And then of course there's a couple of surprise twists at the end. I enjoyed this book just as much as I enjoyed book one. I like the fact that it furthered the story in the relatively short page length given. It still ended on a bit of a cliffhanger with plot points not fully being resolved, but was still satisfying for the most part. I would definitely like to continue with this series. I absolutely want to see how things are worked out with Lyssa and her mates. Misty Malloy gives readers very entertaining and solid writing in this story. She is writing a great paranormal reverse harem series so far. And she has me hooked and excited for what's to come.
Singed starts right where Scorched ended. I enjoyed Scorched for the mystery and getting to know the characters. Singed brings us more sex than a story I think. Yes, we get a story I am not saying that, but this time around I have to say that if these characters are not screwing then Lyssa is talking about how she wants to screw one or all of them. So that is why I went down one star. I will continue to read this series because I am enjoying it.
An AMAZINGLY intricate & entrancing reverse harem romance full of intrigue, STEAM, and Alpha DRAGONS! “SINGED,” the second book in Misty Malloy’s paranormal Orestaia Series, is as phenomenal as the first book in the series, SCORCHED. Author Malloy continues to use that descriptive prose which allows her readers to see, touch, and feel the settings, the actions and the thoughts of characters as the readers progress from page to page. That masterful prose and the use of “dual” narration continue to give Malloy’s characters, so intricately developed in the first book, a depth of personality which stays true to who they are and yet allows them to mature as their relationships with their mate change, grow, and deepen. And for those of you who are wondering, Lyssa’s flower gains another pedal, and readers do NOT want to miss that addition! If you are now wondering if you need to read the first book of the series before reading “SINGED,” I would answer, “Not really.” “SINGED” includes some information which brings readers up to speed, as “SINGED” is a standalone novel. (But to have a full understanding of the intricacies of this phenomenal story, I’d get them both today and read SCORCHED prior to “SINGED”!) So easy to read, fast-paced and action-packed, “SINGED” will consume a reader’s focus. Once started, I could not put “SINGED” down until I had read the last word. So, while I was not a fan of reverse harem, author Misty Malloy makes it an important and believable part of this suspense-filled and sensuous romantic drama. As I write this review, I’m chomping at the bit for book 3! Oh yeah, that epilogue will put you right next to me, fingers tapping, impatiently waiting. . . because “SINGED” is JUST THAT GREAT! I voluntarily read a copy of “SINGED” and this is my honest voluntary 5+STAR review. Get your copy of “SINGED” today! Happy pages! 😉
I enjoyed this book alot more than the first one, it seems like there was more going on and the characters spent more time in their dragon form. You also learn more of the dynamics of Lyssa and the 4 male dragons together in this book now that the males have all acknowledged that they will have to share their love for Lyssa. Lyssa and her mates head to Sedona in the hope of finding the dragon oracle and a way to heal the fertility stone. Thanks to the authors description you can picture Sedona as an incredibly beautiful, magical land but will it hold the answers Lyssa and her mates are looking for. Lyssa is still extremely reluctant to embrace her dragon Magic where as her sister Amelie has gone the other way and completely succumbed to the power of dark magic. Will both the light and dark magic be able to come together to heal the stone and therefore continue the dragon race ? What happens now there is a golden dragon added into the mix? I guess we'll have to wait till book 3 to find the answer to this. Enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next installment. If i come back as another creature would love to be a hot dragoness with a handful of dragons who could make me wild like Lyssa.
Singed by Misty Malloy is book two in her Orestaia Series. Singed is not a standalone. I recommend to read the books in order. The previous book is Scorched.
Singed picks up where Scorched was left off. Lyssa and her four dragon mates are on their way to retrieve the power of the Orestaia Stone, an artifact very important to the Dragon kin. All her mates are different in character and handle themselves ok, more or less. There's a lot of competition, jealousy and male stubbornness in general to deal with. Poor Lyssa has her hands full. It takes them some time to adjust to their new family so to speak. Throw a mysterious oracle, a goddess and a fifth mate into the mix and you have a fantastic read. I was glued to the pages, I read the book cover to cover in one sitting, I simply couldn't put it down. I loved the story and Lyssa is my kind of heroine. I love her sass, her compassion and her hunger for her mates. 5 stars - I recommend the book and the series and can't wait to read what happens next in Ignited.
Lyssa was a disappointment to me several times. She showed such weakness. First, she refused to choose between Drake and Trey and let them challenge each other. Dumb biotch. One of the guys could have gotten hurt b/c she wasn't woman enough to choose or take both at once. Then, she disappointed me AGAIN when Drake mentioned Trey's injury to Lyssa she didn't go check on him, and instead chose to have sex with Drake. WTH! She is broken morally. Something is fundamentally wrong with her to be this ignorant. I love how the guys don't listen to Lyssa and follow her to "help her". So much goes on at the end of the story. So many changes, SURPRISES add ons and more villains come to light. I don't like the add on and feel it was unnecessary and too much! There is no way my mind will allow Ryker to be a bad guy. I hope the next book clears things up and resolves some situations. Karma needs to rain down on the villains big time! Anxious for the rest of the story.
This book picks up right where the first one left off with Lyssa and her dragon’s deciding who would go to visit the dragon oracle to heal the Orestaia Stone. Lyssa should be on the journey with one of her mates that they all come crashing the party eventually. This is a journey about love and self discovery for Lyssa and her mates. The plot is getting thicker the more time the stone is left uncharged. Will Lyssa and her mates be able to charge the fertility stone? Will dark magic take over Lyssa’s sister? What will the golden dragon add to the mix? I can’t wait to see where this story goes!
The second book in the Orestaia series. The story of Lyssa, her mates and her quest continues.
It is always hard to review a second book in a series. The story has been set in the first book and the story will continue in the nest book, so there is no ending yet.
What I enjoyed about the book is that the relationship between Lyssa and her mates deepens and we get to see more of each of the guys. And I loved the scenes with the Dragon Oracle. And the plot thickens by the end.
Great follow up to the story. I was a little disappointed at the abrupt ending of book 1 and Lyssa’s quick acceptance of her four mates, but this book really fleshed out the storyline. And the different aspects to it are so interesting. You have the healing of the orestaia, the sick with dark magic sister, baby fever, a dragon oracle BFF, a dastardly plot to overtake the guardian of the fertility stone and forced magic. And a golden dragon. Definitely going to read the next! Well done!
In some ways I enjoyed this book; however, the lead character is so dang stubborn I found myself really disliking her. It’s one thing to have a character be feisty but this gal just wanted to make me shake her. I have a thing for always finishing a series once I’ve read and enjoyed the first book. This is the first time I REALLY wanted to just shut the book and walk away from the whole story. If it hadn’t been for the cliffhanger aspect I would have done exactly that. My opinion, this book is an epic fail.
This is a good interesting read. Well written with plenty of different elements to hold the readers interest. I do not like Lyssa, she is spoiled, selfish and uncareing. And her mates are not much better, She wants what she wants now! But the storyline is interesting enough to carry the book. There is plenty of hot spicy sexy scenes. I voluntarily read a free copy of this book and I recommend it. An interesting read.
I enjoyed book two of this series. The relationship between Lyssa and her 4 dragon shifters continues to grow and evolve as they forge deeper connections. The plot is engaging and held my attention. It offers plenty of drama and suspense that is balanced out with heat and heart. Looking forward to book three. This is my voluntary, honest review.
Lyssa and her four dragons mates take on the journey of a lifetime. This book is full of energy and full of love. They go to great lengths for her sister and the all important stone. Come take this wild journey into a land of hot hunks and steamy romance. Excellent writing.
Ok, wow, I wasn't expecting that. I love that I didn't see the twists in this book coming until they happened. The characters are getting to know each other better and working out their relationships and growing closer as a group. The puzzle pieces are starting to drop into place and I am looking forward to seeing how they play out in the next book...
Lyssa and her four alpha dragon males are traveling to find the dragon oracle. The power of the stone will save dragonkind from extinction as they can't have babies without it. Will the five of them be able to complete the difficult task? Can the males learn to get along? A wonderful series.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review.
Lyssa and her four dragon mates. They are on a journey to find answers to the reason the Orestaia, their all important relic has winked out of existence. Not enough with all the hurdles they have to cross, the hint of a fundamental betrayal looms in their future. On the other hand there is a "golden" lining added to their union!
The story moved along right after the first book, but this one seemed to have more...internal dialogue/monologue that I found myself fast forwarding to where they actually talk to each other or other characters. I do enjoy the multiple point of view, but the end dragged a bit for me. I'm moving on to the next book just so I know how the story ends.
The second book is even better than the first! The characters are the same with the addition of a golden dragon, his mother, his twin, and other magical creatures! The journey continues with many adventures leading to the mystery of the fertility stone! Many unexpected surprises await you, with an evil twist at the end!
Lyssa and her four dragons mates take on the journey of a lifetime. This book is full of energy and full of love. They go to great lengths for her sister and the all important stone. Come take this wild journey into a land of hot hunks and steamy romance. Excellent writing.
Usually with reverse harem stories, it's all about the sexy times, but I really like the storyline in this series. I love the fantastical beings that keep coming up, like the unexpected Oracle. Can't wait for more!
This story just gets better and better. And hotter - 🔥sexy dragons will do that. These are not standalone books, they must be read in order. And I can't wait for the next book in the series!
Read books 1 and 2 in one sitting and man do I love this series. This book was waaay better than Book 1. I really enjoyed reading it, and I liked the concept and the characters and I just can't wait to finish Book 3.
This series just gets better and better! And dang! The plot twists! You think you know what’s going to happen and bam! Something else happens! Can’t wait to continue and see where this goes!
Like the first book, this one leaves you wanting more. It was a little slower than the first, a lot more sex and lots more dragons. There is a twist that I didn’t see coming. Time to start the next one
A good read for people who are in to the series recommend highly can't wait for the next one of the series a really enjoyable read but quick shaping up to be a enjoyable series must read the next one of the series
I really enjoyed both book 1 and 2 . Not enough explicit sex scenes and a cliffhanger ending is why I only gave it a 3 star rating. Otherwise a well written novel.
After not enjoying the first book, I wasn’t holding out much hope for this book. I didn’t like it at all. I just didn’t ‘connect’ with the characters, except maybe the Oracle ... and that’s maybe. Definitely won’t be finishing the series.
Love the 2nd book in this series. The story leaves u wanting more and it's good to understand more to read the first one. I can't wait for more. Lots of love making with hunky dragons and some drama.
Lyssa and her mates are back and trying to get the fertility stone charged so all dragons can make more baby dragons but it isnt an easy task. It is never an easy task and I am loving this
