Now that Zandia has been reclaimed it's time for rebuilding both the world and its population. But there's still the problem of too many males and not enough females. So Ms. Rose is turning to the now trending genre of reverse harem. The transition was well done and it let me switch smoothly to the new series.
The story focuses mostly on Riya's fears of what it would mean to disappoint the zandians which is a natural fear for a woman who's been a slave all her life and sentenced to death once for rebelling. The book follows the usual pattern of the previous books with some big misunderstanding separating the couple/group and then being overcome (I was scared for a while that but that thankfully didn't happen) and a HEA.
Had I read this as a standalone I probably would have rated it 3.5 stars but my emotional attachment to the zandian species after reading the prequel series strongly influenced my overall enjoyment of NotZ so I would suggest you start at the very beginning of this story instead of jumping halfway in.

This is referred to as book 1 however I had the continued feeling that I was missing something.
World was loosely built. MCs did not have any strong or notable characteristics. I felt as if I did not know them. I’m good with a reverse harem but I need a story. Main focus here was breeding with a little dash is storyline here or there.
If you are looking for strictly naughtiness then you’ll like this one.

I have come to the final decision that alien erotica is just not for me.
I tried another one of Renee Rose and Rebel West's book in this series and I really disliked it.
I tried this one, and I don't know what I was expecting to be different.
The aliens are crass and annoying, they are over-protective and manipulative in a gross manner.
They are especially insensitive to Riya's past with the horrible torture and rape she underwent in the slave farm she grew up in. The whole issue is handled so absurdly, she doesn't fear them or have any repercussions because they are so called destined 'mates'.
Also it is a big deal that in a book they don't say the word 'rape' ever. Instead it is hidden under words like 'forced' and 'unwilling'. Call the evil by its name! I know that to read things like this is a huge turnoff but if you're going to write a book with a character that was abused then please treat them responsibly and with integrity.
Riya is infertile due to torture and is terrified that her new 'mates' will hate her because she lied to them about her ability to have babies. The reason she lied to them is because she is afraid the Zandians won't want her if she cannot be a 'breeder' and they will cast her off the planet which is certain doom for her.
Basically there is ZERO consent here, because the Zandians have all the power and the humans have none, so even if she says yes she really does not have a choice. The other choice is death. Everything Riya does is for self-preservation and survival.
When her mates do find out she lied they definitely proved that they are assholes, immediately thinking the worst of her when she leaves them in fear.
The only reason they forgive her is because they realized she is infertile due to the torture she underwent. So let me get this straight. If she was born infertile then they would cast her out no problem? Because it seemed they only cared to try and see things her way was because someone else did this to her.
Lastly, and this is a spoiler!
At the end of the book she is magically pregnant because apparently their sperm has healing properties.
NO. WTF.
You write an entire book where the main focus is how worthless Riya feels because, despite being smart and helpful in the world, she feels like she is trash because she cannot reproduce, and then right at the end instead of having her so called mates just accept her for who she is, you have a sudden twist and lo and behold she is pregnant.
So in this alien world you cannot be happy unless you can breed.
I'm done with the Zandian Brides series.
Asshole aliens who think reconditioning of humans is an acceptable thing are certainly not on my read list anymore.

A very different and unusual story with great storyline and plot. It is well written and the use of words brings a lot of emotions up in the reader.
A story about a woman that was a slave but was mated to three cousins. She is their world but she keeps a secret from them. That tears her apart.
The story has passion, lies, secrets, trust, honesty, twists, emotional ups and downs in it.
I like it is written in multiple POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. The twists makes you just want to read more.
Each characters are so well described and likeable. This story caught me from the first to last chapter.

WOW, you did it again. Once again, you made me cry. This is why the series is so good. If you dont know about Riya, let me refresh. Riya was a slave. She was rescued and brought along with other slaves from everywhere to Zandia. She is close friends with Lily. She doesn't believe she is worthy of any Zandian male. She can't have children due to the abuse she suffered. When Zandia is finally freed, the King decrees that there will be changes. That since there are so few human females, Zandian's can have more than one mate. They want to repopulate the planet. Strength.
Jax, Tarren, & Ronan are cousins. Tarren meets Riya when she is helping in medical due to an injury suffered through the war. He wants her for his mate, as do his cousins. When the decree comes out, they will not allow any other to have her. She is mated to them and they all move to improve and repopulate. Nevertheless, you already know what's coming.
I felt so heartsick for Riya. She kept the secret for so long. She told one person only. But her drive to find a way to make her worth more to her mates was so sad. They loved her for her but she couldn't see beyond that she could not give them a child. Jax, Tarren & Ronan just adored her and always wanted to be around her. They took pride in all that she was able to bring to their new world. However, the fact that they didn't know that one thing was worse. It tore me apart reading it. Zandian's do not lie. Knowing that it was eating her up. Then what happens after, UGH. Can you say water works?

Now that the Zandians have regained their home planet, they need to protect it from future invasion. This means that they need more Zandians and how better to get more Zandians than to start a re-population program. But since women are scarce, the King has decreed that multiple men can team up with one woman and you have the start of this reverse harem story. Once again Renee Rose has created a fantastic story that you will have trouble putting down until you finish. With robust world-building, the Zandian saga is going strong and I can't wait to see what is next in the series. This story tied in well with the earlier books in the series but can be read as a stand alone novel.

I'm usually not a fan of reverse harem stories, but this one is spectacular! This is full of passion, heartache, and love between three alien men and one human female which make for HOT scenes! But Riya has been deceiving Jax, Tarren and Ronan. Will they be able to forgive her once her secret is revealed.

This series is getting so good. This might be my favorite from this author. I loved Riya, Jax, Tarren and Ronan. If you haven't started reading this story then get started as soon as possible.

This is my favourite Zandian book so far, it had such emotional depth and we really got to know Riya as a character. There was such love and caring shown to her, by Ronan, Jax and Tarren, that it felt much more a relationship between equals than in previous books. That isn't to say that there weren't some hot punishment scenes, but they were very consensual and really well written.
I liked all four characters, they each brought something special to both the relationship and the book. There are plenty of scenes from the perspective of each of the males which meant I felt as good a connection to them, as I did to Riya. The four worked really well together and I really liked that the 'bedroom' scenes didn't involve acrobatics and the flexibility of a gymnast.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love romance but Sci-Fi has never been my go to genre. That being said, I am always open minded and willing try a new adventure in romance with a “new to me” author, especially if it is co-written by one of my all time favorite authors. So I decided that I needed to dive into Night of the Zandians and try out Renee Rose's writing while basking in Alexis Alvarez's talent once again while writing as Rebel West . It wasn't long and they had me completely riveted to this rather desolate post war planet that is trying to rebuild and repopulate by mating human women with the colorful, massive, and hot Zandian males! And if that isn't enough to get your pulse pounding, Renee and Rebel gives us not one but three horned, eager, and captivating heroes to satisfy one slightly distrustful and weary heroine! Talk about a story full of sexual desires, angst, and emotions running wild!
Riya is a woman who has been through such trials and tribulations that have left her body scarred along with her mind and heart. I couldn't help but feel for this heroine who deserves so much better than the torture that she has received in the past. When she looks at her new mates Tarren, Jax, and Ronan you can see the fear and uncertainty that rises to the surface in her mind. It is troubling to hear about her past but once you meet her three mates, a reader is filled with nothing but hope and a rising temperature from the heat waves of desire that explodes between all of them when they are in the same room together.
I think out of all of three of the Zandian males that Riya is paired with, my heart most belongs to Tarren. He is fierce, protective, and his silence and intensity is often misunderstood. I loved getting to know this hero that is at first reluctant to share but instead shows Riya that he will claim every inch of her body and her heart and help her find unimaginable pleasure in the arms of him and his cousins.
Jax has kindness, intelligence, and sexiness that oozes from every pore and leaves no doubt that even though he doesn't seem as intense at Tarren, he is more than capable of rocking Riya's world! He always thinks about Riya's needs first and cherishes her in every way! Jax melted my heart with his thoughtful and attentiveness towards Riya.
I don't know what it is about a cocky, and humor filled hero that rattles me to the core and puts a smile on my face but Ronan does that and so much more! I enjoyed every moment with this slightly younger male who inspires laughter at every turn. He puts the sparkle back in Riya's eyes and shows her that there is more good left in this world. As if his humor isn't enough to obliterate all of Riya's defenses, he keeps things extra hot in the bedroom and always leaves Riya breathing heavy and flushed with pleasure.
Renee Rose and Rebel West deliver an amazing tale that keeps our hearts palpitating with visions of horned men doing much more than dancing in our heads..wink, wink! I highly recommend Night of Zandians for a venture into another world filled with sexual tension, high emotions, and hope for survival of the planet. Renee and Rebel show us that love and uncontrollable desire comes in many different shapes, forms, and colors and can be out of this world exciting and thought provoking. I can't wait to step back into this fictional world and become enraptured with these colorful characters again!

Yay! More Zandians! Renee Rose brought her Zandians out to play for the Night of... Reverse Harem series. I hope that it's going to be the start of a new spin-off series from the original books, because I love the Zandians. Those giant, horned, purple aliens have a special place in my heart. Renee invited along Rebel West to help her with this story and it was great.
The Zandians have managed to kick the Fins off their planet and take it back, King Zander announces that his goal is to repopulate and rehabilitate Zandia. Since all the Zandian females of breeding age are already mated, the Zandian males are going to have to find someone to mate. All the escaped human slaves who Zander declared free since they helped fight for the planet are included in the plan to increase the population. Zander says that the males need to form a team and find a human woman to mate. Jax, Tarren, & Ronan, three cousins, already have their eye on their woman, Riya.
Riya is a former agrislave who was really, really tortured by her former slave owners. Now, as a freed woman, she's been working as a medic for the Zandians. Tarren met her when she was patching him up, and they got a little up close and personal. Then he threatened to spank her when she left safety to go pull in injured.
There are lots of really hot sections of this story, as well as some really romantic parts. But there is also one big section that made me cry. The Zandians series gets better with every book! Love shines on every page of "Night of the Zandians". The emotions are a big bite of real life, and the characters jump off the page to make you cry, laugh, and love with them.

If you don’t know who the Zandians are, then get yourself over to THAT series and get caught up. I’ll wait. Ready? Okay, it’s time for a reverse harem romance with sexy purple warriors with horns that are a direct link to…uh huh. But you knew that already since you know who the Zandians are. What’s that? You haven’t checked out the other series yet? Well, that’s okay. Each story is a standalone with the much needed happily ever after and you shouldn’t get lost when the other characters from the other stories come through. But it helps. Riya, Tarren, Jax and Ronan, what a foursome! I loved these characters, they are all special and unique. Riya is the human mate to three Zandians and she's keeping a HUGE secret. Jax is the diplomat, Tarren the possessive alpha and Ronan is the family jokester. I loved the plot and the writing. I especially loved Riya trying to prove her worth (because who among us hasn't done that at some point in their life), when it was absolutely intrinsic to who she is. SHe finally understands that and so do her Zandian's.
If you haven't read any of the Zandian mates books, you'll still be able to follow along with what is happening in this new series.

I love this series and the Zandian men. They have taken their planet back and need to mate and Tarren , Ronan and Jax who are cousins have their eyes set on the sassy feisty Riya who holds a deep secret for so long I really feel for her and we all know Zandians do not lie and is not tolerated. I really liked how they were all different in their attitude and how they treated Riya and the teasing was super hot and you get some laughs in there to but when it comes down to their mate they were fierce with so much adoration you have to love them. The story was descriptive and the words just jump off the page with excitement and these warriors are intence in a delicious way. Highly Recommend

I’m loving this series!!! I’ve said this before but reverse harem are my favorite books. The Zandians had regained their home planet after a long struggle and fighting. King Zander has decreed a repopulation program the Zandians will get homestead if they mate more than one male to a human female. Tarren, Jax and Ronan are all cousins and choose the human Riya. She has complications due to her treatment as a slave. Will the warriors be able to overlook her deception when her secret is revealed?

Another Zandian masterpiece!! Ms. Rose along with Ms. West bring us an emotional and totally sexy Zandian bride book. I love the premise of this book. It was set up for angst, miscommunication, and tension- all the things that make books more interesting. The Zandian mates were delicious- all different but just as sexy in their own way. I loved Reyna- so amazingly smart and giving but vulnerable. This is definitely a sizzling-hot-grab-you-by-the-heart-five-star read!

MULTIPLE Zandian Warriors! And I was in love with the first series- now we get a group of them in this spinoff bride series. I’m all aflutter and aglow in sexy warrior overload from cousins Tarren, Jax, and Ronan.
Riya is the lucky female to mate these three, and I really enjoyed her story. Her contribution to fixing Zandia through knowledge and skills had me - and ok, her mates too ;) - so proud of her.
The conflict creating tension in this story was well done and well presented so that I loved every character- faults and all.
Even if you haven’t read Renee’s Zandian Masters series, you can pick up this spinoff book and thoroughly enjoy it. ;)

A beautiful, emotional and very steamy read. Riya's history is just heartbreaking and her struggle with her feelings of being unworthy of her mates and the lengths she goes to try to prove that she is will just totally crush you. Jax, Tarren, & Ronan are of course, very sexy, protective and have no doubt about who they want for their mate. Well written, superbly entertaining and a pure pleasure to read. I'm posting a completely honest, voluntary review after reading this book.

For me this was between three and four stars. It was obviously a short quick read. I would’ve liked a hair more plot but it was smutty for sure. It was alright but the whole Time I felt like I was missing something even though this book was advertised as the first book but, I mean. Maybe the next ones will be better. These were all free on kindle so I downloaded them. Lots of spanking though which made my teeth itch.

4 1/2 Stars! A great addition to the Zandian series. Please make sure you have read all 7 of the Zandian stories before starting the Zandian Brides series, otherwise there will be serious spoilers.
I won't provide a lot of details, but if you have not read the other stories, please do not read any further, unless you want an idea of what happens.
This is the story of Riya and her three mates: Ronan, Tarrien, and Jax. At the end of the 7th book, they were able to recapture Zandia after defeating the Finns. This book really picks up right after recapping what happened briefly during the battle, which is how Riya came to the attention of Tarrien, one of her mates.
King Zander has all of the humans and Zandians gather at the ruins and pronounces that they need to repopulate their planet. That Zandians in groups of two+, but preferably 3+, can apply for homesteads with a female mate. That if they work the lands for 5 years will be deeded to them for free.
Riya is a slave from one of the agri-farms that was abused multiple times. She was sentenced to death for killing 2 guards and was on the Ocretion death pod when it was captured by then Prince Zander. She was abused so badly that she has no interest in being a mate to anyone and just wants to go about helping in the medical bay.
Then Riya hears the announcement by now King Zander about the repopulation plans ... she immediately thinks of the male she met during the battle when she was trying to get the wounded into the medical area. If she was going to take a mate he would be okay, even though she would die of embarassment at the way her body lit up when he gripped her butt and her following actions, but would she be forced to mate against her will or to be able to stay on Zandia without taking a mate? She can't really leave, as all it would take is one swipe of the tattoo on her neck and they would know that she was sentenced to death, plus there wasn't really another planet she could go to that she would be free.
Tarrien knew as soon as he seen the brave woman with the bare legs and the boots trying to pull in the soldiers downed in the area near the medical bay that she was his mate, that she belonged to all of them. Then her reaction when she was sowing up his face only confirmed it, if he had any doubts. Then he hears King Zander's announcement and is concerned about how the homesteading would work. Would a female be assigned to those that express interest of sign up? Maybe they could get her to agree to mate with them and then apply? Surely they wouldn't break up a mated group?
I am going to stop there so I don't accidentally provide a spoiler or twist.

Its Ok
So I'm still very unsure what to think of this book. I did enjoy some of the story and the dominant males, that's why it got 2 stars instead of 1. I found that I felt this book is abusive rather than sexy. I did not enjoy the intimate scenes and found some of them confusing.

It is nearly impossible to pick a favourite out of this series, they are all fantastically steamy reads, but I think that this one has to be my favourite. I loved Riya, Jax, Tarren and Ronan's story. I you haven't gotten into this series yet, what the heck are you waiting for?? Get started TODAY!!

This is the first book of the Zandians that I have read, and I was very impressed. Having found that this is related to other books did not make me feel that I was missing anything. The story does go into a bit of the past and explain things so that the story flowed very well. The premise of the story revolves around the Zandians taking back their planet and now needing to repopulate their people. The problem is that there are not enough Zandian women, so the human women that are aiding them are now on the way to being brides.
The problem with this is that not all of the women want mates. Riya is such a woman. She has been brutalized by per previous slave masters and doesn’t want to trade one form of servitude for another, but she has no choice. But, not only will she be a bride … but a bride to multiple males. Multiple tall dangerous males that are breed for war. But also, these are dominant males who use pleasure to as a form of punishment. They are all being given the chance of a new start, but Riya carries a secret that could destroy everything.
Tarrren and his cousins Jax and Ronan all agree that they want Riya, but they need to work for it and work to prove that they are males worthy of her. They know that she was a former slave, but they have no depth of understanding for what has been done to her ... mostly because she hasn’t told them and they have not gotten her file. Her secrets could tear them apart and destroy any future that they could have for the Zandians do not like lies or deceit.
This was a very lovely story and the heat level between the characters is off the scales. There are dominant plays through the book, but I think it only enhanced the flavor of it. Riya made me cry at times. Her strength is astounding. And the way that the cousins show their love of her and their life was beautiful. They all had to overcome fear of the past and move past obstacles to reach for their future. There were quite a few times that I smiled while reading and cheered for the grouping. Beautiful! I would highly recommend this book.

This is like a spin off from the Zandian Masters series, which can quite easily be read as a standalone as this is the first book on their Zandian home planet - this is a great place to start if you haven't read any of the others - for me this has been one of the best books of any of the Zandians so far!!
Riya was previously a sex slave, damaged, hurt and abused in her previous life, she finds herself wanted by 3 Zandian males, all cousins, to be their mate and start to repopulate Zandia. She is terrified of being found out that she cannot bear a child, so keeps the secret to herself and tries her best to make herself useful in other ways, using the plants to make new medicines and such like.
Jax, Tarren and Ronan although related and have shared females before, are completely enamored with Riya and can't wait to mate with her and set up their own homestead and raise crops.
Each of the Zandians are completely different in character and attitude and the story is told from all 4 POV's which really makes the story flow and you can really see how each of the characters connect. There's quite a lot going on in the story line, its not just about the vecking, although thats damn hot and there's plenty of it, but its quite an emotional ride too with Riya determined to prove her worth to her mates, unable to see past not being able to carry a baby. Her mates adore her and are very proud of her work and her intelligence, but Riya deems herself as unworthy of being their mate. But Zandians do not lie, and she is carrying around the biggest lie of all.

And there is a rush for the few women rescued from the prison pods. As there are not many of them, Zandian males have to group together to form families and get a land grant to re-grow flora and young.
But there is one female that has been so deeply wounded that she finds herself fleeing from three cousins that have chosen her as their mate. Afraid, but intrigued by their interest, she decides to keep her secret hidden. Their claiming happens fast and furious, and before Prince Zander can state his plans for the mixed population.
Having been granted their parcel of land, Riya, an expert plants woman, and her three warriors start growing crops, fruit and vegetables for the human population. And as an important side product Riya experiments with local and earth plants to find new healing properties.
Enjoying each others company intensely, they do their vecking best to also grow the population. Often, and with enthusiasm and ardor!
But their blissful foursome comes to a screeching halt when Riya finally has to reveal her secret and leaves their home to confess her perceived crime to King Zander, and await his verdict.

So far, I've enjoyed all of the Zandian books. This one was no different. I loved the guys, especially Tarren. Something about him being the biggest and gruffest endeared him to me.
I was so sad that Riya lived with such fear. I kept thinking to myself, why hasn't Lamira told Zander how what he's saying may sound to some of the human females. It made the book more interesting, but I hated seeing her so scared, especially knowing that she'd lived her entire life in fear.
The pace of the story and all the suspense from not knowing how the guys would react to her secret, made for excellent entertainment and I was truly surprised by their reaction.
All in all, I enjoyed it and look forward to the next book based off of the sample left at the end of this one.
