Confessions of a Klutz

Rate this book
Confession One: I was a klutz.
I thought I’d grow out of it, but evidently I didn’t.
It’s not fun to look like a fumbling toddler when you’re twenty-six.

Confession Two: I had a standing appointment at the local ER.
It wasn’t by choice that I knew all the doctors names — it was necessity.
But that was about to change.

Confession Three: I hated the sun yet I lived in LA where it always shone.
I supposed that was one plus to being sent to New York for the next eight weeks.

That was until I got there.

Arm veins, dimples, and THE sexiest voice known to man were my weakness, and he had every single one of them.

Confession Four: He was my new boss.
I could control myself though, right?

The city of dreams… a klutz’s worst nightmare.
Eight weeks. A klutz. And a drool worthy boss.
What did you get when you crossed a klutz with a GQ model lookalike?
I was about to find out.

you know how when you read a book and you think: 'wow... now this is just wrong and way too funny!' that was me when i read Confessions Of A Klutz. Only, there's a reason why i couldn't get enough of this book: Violet is me. Minus the thousands of trips to the hospital, but boy has my face and chest met walls i hadn't even noticed were there. And let's not start talking about the fact that i manage to trip over my own two feet. While standing up. Not moving. I swear. It's that bad. I can still hear my mother telling me 'don't touch that, you'll drop it and break it!' and i could have sworn i was so bloody careful and holding tight to whatever i had in my hand and next thing i knew, i turned my head, dropped the item and it shattered into pieces. Next thing i knew i was running for dear life at my mother's frustration only to smack into a door. #TrueStory it's that sad.

So klutz language, i know very well, and my daughter is being just as proficient at it too, only she blames whatever she hit for being in the way. Anyways!! This book was hilarious. I laughed so hard that my stomach started cramping from how funny it was. It was totally unexpected and insanely entertaining and i really couldn't get enough. I started the book at 2 pm and by 5pm, i was done. This also included me repeating multiple passages so that i could spread the wealth of the hilarity of this book only to get the oddest look ever and comments like 'is the character right in the head?' 'It's not normal to be that awkward and klutzy!' that's when i had to remind them of my own experiences and have them look at me just as oddly.

It was my first book by Abigail Davies and i loved it. Hands down my favorite romantic comedy of the year and i can't express how worth it this book really is. Now i'm looking forward to ella's story in the second instalment of the series and am impatiently waiting for it.

I adored this book!! Vi is the epitome of a klutz and someone the majority of us can relate to. She's witty, weird (in all the good ways), and totally eccentric; all the great makings for a heroine that you can really root for. Throw in an off-the-charts sexy CEO, a stray cat, and a little spice, and you have yourself a romcom that is pee-your-pants funny!

This is Abigail's first attempt at a romcom, and she absolutely smashed it out of the park! The endearing side characters will also capture your heart, I can't wait to read their stories. Confessions of a klutz is not to be missed out on.

Confessions of a Klutz (Confessions Series, Book #1)

This book popped my Abigail Davies cherry, and what a book it was.
I was laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face. It literally had me in stitches.

This book is about Vi (Violet) who is a living, walking, breathing Klutz.
Her boss is a royal bitch and sends her to New York to fill in as a temporary PA to Mr. Taylor who just happens to be a sexy CEO.

From there things get very interesting.
This is a fantastic romantic comedy so if your after a laugh this book is for you.

This had all the earmarks for a cute, fun read. Unfortunately, it leaned heavily towards immature humor and after so much of it, I stopped caring about this couple. Admittedly, this is totally a “me thing” as I have a strong aversion to raunchy humor, unless I’m aware of it ahead of time. I was so excited about a klutzy heroine and had a preconceived idea in my mind of what I was going to get. This was not that and I was extremely disappointed. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve read anything by a new to me author, and this is pretty much the reason why. I’m not sure what I’m going to get and life, especially at this stage for me, is too short to waste on something I’m not going to love.

For everyone who loves the racy, rough humor I sincerely believe you’ll enjoy this one.

🌟🌟 NOW ON SALE FOR 99p!! 🌟🌟

A romantic comedy that will have you laughing your socks off. You'll relate to Violet on many levels—most especially her being a klutz.

I'm SO excited for everyone to read the new version of CONFESSIONS OF A KLUTZ. I first released this at the start of 2018, but these two wouldn't leave my head even after release. So I added some new scenes and had the whole thing re-edited.

I love the new version more than the old one, and that's saying something!

A smattering of hair covered his jaw, his cheekbones so sharp they could cut glass. And those lashes—it was so unfair that men were blessed with the long, thick ones. Hot damn, he even had a chin dimple. What was it about dimples that immediately made a woman turn to mush?
I was preoccupied with taking him in, noting his charcoal suit jacket hanging on the back of his chair, his white dress shirt rolled up to the elbows and showing arm veins. Oh, God, I was a sucker for arm veins. They were so…manly.
My gaze finally rolled up over his dark-blue tie before stopping on his lips that were…spread into a grim line. Shit. How long had I been staring?

I didn’t mind that Mr. Taylor hadn’t spoken to me, though, because sometimes people were awesome to look at but douchebags to talk to. Maybe he was one of those kinds of guys?
I needed at least forty-eight hours to confirm or deny that.
For sure, I thought there’d be gossip about him, allowing me to determine it sooner rather than later, but there’d been nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Maybe he dazzled everyone with his strong jaw and dimpled chin, and they were put under some kind of spell, causing them not to utter a bad word about him?

“You’re playing with fire.”
“I’m a pyromaniac.”
His breath quickened, and he yanked me closer as his fingertips dug into my ass. “Careful, Vi. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you wanted me.”
Leaning my head back, I looked up at him as I lifted onto my tiptoes. “Who said I didn’t?”
Great. Now horny Vi had made an appearance.

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I enjoyed this book, however i think that Violet acts a little childish at times, however i love that she owns the crap out of being a Klutz.

Axel is your typical business man, however having Vi thrown into his path causes hilarity to ensue along with a lightning of his day, if not certainly a distraction.

The novella went very quickly for me and i am certainly hoping that we get more of these characters and the other supporting characters as i had a blast reading this one.

Reviewed on behalf of Lesley and Sarah’s all things books blog....
The title of this book says it all and you can’t help but love it and relate to parts of it. It has everything you could want in a RomCom. It has Romance.... ‘oh my’ I loved Vi and Axel. Their chemistry well that was just off the charts and they were so good together and so perfect together even if she did cause mayhem when they were together. They had you laughing at one point and getting hot under the collar at another point... It’s jam packed with laugh out loud moments and I bet if you were to look closely you will find that you can relate to some of it. I loved the little confession boxes at the beginning of each chapter they had me laughing as much at the book did.
This book is laugh out loud funny and I was crying with laughing at one point to which I was getting funny looks off the other half.... I loved it and couldn’t put it down and this is by far my fav book by this author and I can’t wait for the next one... I highly recommend this book it sure got me out of my book funk...

Our heroine is not just a klutz, she’s a walking disaster waiting to happen. So much so that it became a little too hard to suspend my belief that someone can realistically get into this many accidents.

Parts were cute. Parts were sweet. Parts made me laugh. But something about this story didn’t make my heart flutter and sing.

Maybe it was that not a day went by that she didn’t have some huge embarrassing accident. Maybe if I had Axel’s POV I would’ve been more swoony over him. *shrugs*

But I will definitely say that the ending was too rushed and a tad too abrupt.

Mon avis en Français

My English review

I love this kind of novel, light comedies that make us have a good time, so when I saw the cover and the synopsis, I didn’t hesitate for long!

Violet is a clumsy woman, but to the point where her hospital visits are recurrent and she has broken her bones many times. Miss clumsy, that’s her! Well… It’s true that it’s at the point where it’s a little too much at the end, but well, it’s not very serious. So when she is sent to New York to replace the assistant to the manager of the company where she works, she didn’t expect him to be so sexy! But here it is, she is terrible and Mr. Taylor will soon realize it. On top of that, she can’t stay focused for very long, which is very annoying for meetings and long days!

I thought it was pretty nice to follow Violet even though, as I said, some things are a little too much. She’s really not good at what she’s doing, but she’s doing the best she can. So I had a very good time with her in all her adventures and it must be said that we have some of them! However, I asked myself a few questions about some inconsistencies, such as how she managed to cut a piece of meat with a broken collarbone.

Apart from that, I had a good time with the novel, it was light and fresh and I am curious to discover Ella’s story.

Violet Scott isn't just clumsy or a klutz, she is full-on accident prone where if someone looked at her hospital records, they would A) think she was being abused and B) they would keep a permanent bed there for her. This book made me laugh at parts as I can be sort of clumsy at times but nothing as bad as Violet. Violet is a PA and is working in the LA office until she is sent by her boss to be a temp PA for Mr. Taylor who is the "big boss."Violet is expecting someone old and more boss like but when she meets him - he is more Christian Grey HOT. This book chronicles all of Violet's awkward and klutz moments which range from broken collarbones to drawing d**ks on the meeting board, not in whiteboard marker but sharpies. During this time, Violet and Mr. Taylor whom later we learn is called Axel end up sleeping together and having a whirlwind romance. What will happen though when Violet returns to her life in LA to find herself fired and Axel not taking her phone calls and to make matters worse she has inherited a cat called Colonel Fourpaws. Could this being fired though be the best thing for Violet? Find out in this fun romantic comedy /office romance read by Abigail Davies which if you were like me as you read, you would be reminiscing over your awkward moments and in parts going - "I've done that."

Amazeballs...... If I could I would give Confessions of a Klutz 6 out of 5.

Yes, I'm going there. this book was that good. I expected a fun read but what I got was much more. I love how Vi just accept the way things happen. how she is straightforward. I imagine I could be best friends with her.

OMG. Don't get me started on Axel. Damn. I want a boss like that (well my luck is shitty so even if I get a boss like Axel he wouldn't even notice me. okay. done with pitty party, back to book). I love how Axel just go with Vi and all her clumsiness (if there is a word like that)

There are times where I laughed so hard I thought I was going to laugh everyone awake in the house. (luckily I didn't). There is a spot where I almost threw my kindle. But 99% of the time I was smiling the whole way through the book. Trust me you will too if you read it.

Don't just get the book and let it lay there in your kindle. choose this book to read NOW! Confessions of a Klutz (Confessions Series, Book #1) by Abigail Davies Best read for 2018.......

A HILARIOUS, FUN, QUIRKY, ABSOLUTELY ADDICTING STORY THAT HAD ME LAUGHING SO

HARD TEARS OF MIRTH WERE ROLLING DOWN MY CHEEKS AND I THOUGHT I WAS GOING

TO WET MYSELF! I wasn't prepared for the extreme wittiness of the banter or the

exceedingly wonderful and unique personalities of our characters. It was both filled

exactly what I craved and I didn't even know it.

Confessions Of A Klutz was AWESOME...just in case you couldn't figure it out. I knew

just from what I read from the synopsis it was going to be good, but I got WAY more

I chose to review this book for our blog (Alphas Do It Better) and literally told my girls "gee it sounds like this author is writing about me!" As a fellow klutz, I adored this book!!

Violet is so accident prone, she needs a punch card for the ER and I felt an instant kinship with her. Despite being pretty childish in some cases, I loved her from start to finish.

Axel Taylor is an uber-hot, Alpha businessman completely unused to having his precise world altered. With Vi filling in for his assistant, his ordered world is a little...askew.

I cannot tell you how many times this book had me laughing out loud. I could see it playing out like a movie in my mind, the old-school Three Stooges physical comedy kind. Hilarious. I also really loved the side characters of Ella and Chad. The book was really short and I didn't want it to end but I hope to see more of the foursome in future books!

I loved this book was laughing out loud the entire way through and devoured it in less than a day!

Violet is a bit of a klutz, she is always tripping, falling breaking bones and she also can’t seem to keep a job, but that’s fine she didn’t like them anyway.

When in her current job, she gets told to go to New York to be the PA for the CEO whilst they find a replacement she never expects to meet the Adonis that is her boss.

Axel has never met anyone quite like Violet before but she brightens his day with her little quirks and her clumsiness but he never expected to have the feelings he does for her.

What will happen when the two have a “fling” and then Violet has to go back to L.A? How will she feel when she gets fired…. again? Can these two have their happily ever after?

I absolutely loved this klutz with the foul mouth and all the trouble she gets into. I also love how the author gives us a klutz moment at the beginning of each chapter. I can't tell you how much I laughed throughout this book plenty of time to just let it all out. Not only does this author give us a great love story she lets us laugh our way through it. I think I like the doctor's office best. The one liners she comes up with and the ability to laugh at herself make this a great story and don't forget Em. She is the completely off the wall friend that we all have in a corner saving others from her. Love the uptight and straight laced boss who she totally knocks off kilter and finds a way to loosen him up. Love this author and love her stories. My stomach still hurts from laughing so hard.

Confessions of a Klutz is a fun, lighthearted romance that’ll have you diving into your reading device as you witness a klutz on your journey to success.

Davies wows her readers with Violet. Admittedly a klutz since birth, there is absolutely nothing her doctors haven’t seen her do. From simple trips to broken arms, Violet is a klutz that you will come to know and love without doubt. Davies uproots this klutz and thrusts her into the heart of New York and the heart of temptation with her hot boss, Alex Taylor. I’m not sure if he falls for her because she’s cute or because she keeps him entertained but either way Davis strikes romantic comedy gold with this one.

Although Violet is a complete cluster at times, she still is a relatable, fun, interesting character full of life and all the hardships that come with it. As Violet’s work life implodes, Davies shows us a different side to her character establishing the depth that was needed to really engage the reader. My only thought was that I wished this book was longer! Although this is a short, quick read, Davies hits all the checks in the romance category causing me to be a fan of Confessions of a Klutz.

I really, really loved this book. It's sweet, romantic and funny.
It was my first Abigail Davies book and it won't certainely not be my last!
I really love Violet. I am also a klutz, although not as much as a klutz as Violet.
It was one of my favorite books and romantic comedy I've read this year

Violet is funny, with some of the best one liners ever, a girl after my own heart with her fluffy socks, humour and the love in her heart. She works as hard as she needs to. But she hasn’t found her calling yet so Boredom sets in quickly. Della her boss is a bitch.

Vi is not happy to be going to New York for 3 weeks but she does what needs to be done, not once thinking the trip will change her life.

Vi is as the title states a Klutz, she gets injured a lot. She starts her 3 weeks in NYC with a split lip but man it gets worse for her. She is graceful with her injuries 😂😂. Mr Taylor is handsome and the ceo of her company she is his PA for the 3 weeks she’s in NYC after just a couple of days he’s already seen her pants and her boobs.

Mr Taylor is moody but soon comes round to Vi’s quirky behaviour and he even starts to crack a smile. The chemistry between them is clear from the get go.

This book is full of funny lines, accidents, love. And most importantly Colonial Fourpaws. I loved every chapter and every page. It’s a must read. So they fall in love? Does Vi find her calling and what happens to Colonial Fourpaws? READ IT AND FIND OUT xx

I have now read the rewrite of COAK and I love the changes, there a couple of bits I miss but the new parts more than make up for it, they show Violets ambitious side and more funny bits still a 5 star read for me and one of my go too books I have read the original one 4 times this year I totally love it and I look forward to reading the rewrite more too. This book starts out with sooo many OMG moments causing ‘snorts of laughter’ to occur frequently (yep even startled my little dog several times- yikes). Vi is over-the-top hilarious and I am just referring to her thoughts. What she says and does is ever MORE CRAZY FUNNY. You will learn bubble wrap can’t even protect her. How is that possible? This girl gives new meaning to ‘accident prone’. Axel, her temporary boss, initially comes across as reserved. He appears somewhat shocked by Vi which only added to the hilarity. As we get to know him, you realize he isn’t such a stuffed shirt as you originally thought (clapping hands). Yep he then just gets hotter (wink wink). He definitely has some naughty in him and in combination with Vi’s lack of filter and dirty mind, you get extra steamy. My only objection, it ended TOO SOON... I wasn’t ready to say goodbye (boo hoo). We might get to meet up with Vi and Axel in future reads from the other characters in this book. Yeah!!! Definitely recommend this story... Happy Reading!

Reboot of this book...

This author rereleased this book with edited and added material. I loved the first one and that feeling continues with this awesome second version. It is hilarious and beautiful. I think the nicest comment I can give is that this reboot was not noticeably so. It continues to shine with humor and touching moments. What a lovely story! Again Happy Reading!

Refreshingly funny, Confessions of a Klutz is Abigail Davies first step into romcom, and she does not disappoint! Not only will Vi and Axel steal your heart from their first interaction, but they’ll keep you laughing and smiling throughout the entire book with their hilarious banter and sexy moments.

A light-hearted, fun, and quick read, you’ll be able to devour this story in one sitting. Vi has all the qualities I love in my heroines: confident, sassy, and a sense of humor to boot. But man, does she have the worst luck. Disaster seems to follow this woman wherever she goes and there were so many times I wanted to stick her behind inside of a padded room.

And Axel. Oh, Axel, how I love thee. Axel is everything a book boyfriend should be. He’s smart and a tad bit cocky, but he’s also caring and downright swoon-worthy. The attraction between him and Vi is palpable even from their very first encounter and you can’t help but route for these two to navigate and conquer every single obstacle that stands in their way.

The only thing I’m torn on when it comes to our leads, is which of them I adore more.

With a well-rounded secondary cast that will win you over as they attempt to steal the show, you can’t help but wonder whose love story Davies will deliver to us next.

This isn’t the first book I have read by this author, but it is the first that I have cried laughing at, a fantastic big fat laugh out loud story that was just fantastic…the funny looks from fellow travellers on the train were an eye-opener!
I totally loved the story, I felt as if it had been almost written for me, I could relate fully and that was just what I was looking for.
I’m not sure if other reviewers feel the same but for me, I just have to say that if you are looking to read a romantic comedy, then you really should look no further because this has that nailed down.
Vi and Axel were amazing, their chemistry was off the scale, they sparked off each other and that brought the story to life, I loved the banter between them, the fact that you never actually know what you were going to get once the pair of them hit their stride. I couldn’t help but chuckle at some of the situations that surrounded the two of them, they were hysterical.
But don’t think that just because it was funny it was lacking in anything else because this author left nothing behind, the romance was first class and the physicality of their relationship sizzled!
Thoroughly enjoyable, my favourite read by this author so far

Confessions of a Klutz - Confessions Series #1
Abigail Davies

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of my favourites for this year, Abigail Davies has delivered a fresh, filthy and supremely funny story.

Take a single, gorgeous woman with a tendency to be a klutz and I do mean a total klutz, ship her off to The New York office to work as fill in PA to the big boss man, who by the way is a total alpha hottie and you can see where this is heading.

Violet lives up to her klutzy reputation right through the book with hilarious consequences and an inner monologue that had my eyes watering and my belly laughs annoying the family.

Axel, the boss, hold his own with Violet and even embraces her klutziness, helping her through many of her awkward moments. He’s the perfect foil for Violet and the combination of these characters and the supporting cast makes it an absolute pleasure to read and enjoy.

Loved it and now I’m looking forward to the next in the series.

Book recieved for a honest review.

I have read all the work this author has done and couldn't wait to see what she would produce writing a different genre. I should have known it would be just as good as her previous work.

Vi must be one if the most unlucky people I know. How many times can one person end up at hospital as they are so accident prone? Lots by the sound of it.

This book had me laughing out loud from the beginning to the end. I will never look at bubble wrap and egg plants the same again.

I can't wait to read El's book to catch up with the characters again. I hope J also gets a book as he is such a brilliant character.

All that's left to say is 'Duck Birch, I totally loved it' 🤣🤣

A fun and comical read from author Abigail Davies! You'll find yourself laughing at all aspects of Violets life and her klutziness is definitely amusing! I also loved the 'confessions' at the beginning of each chapter, they're definitely ones to laugh at!

I found myself hating Axel by 60 odd % but by the end of the book, I guess I kinda liked him. Violet is one of those 'one in a million' girls. She's unique in so many ways and I love the way she says it as it is or makes a joke about anything.

I did find that parts of the book was rushed, and my brain had to try and catch up quickly, and I found a lot of bits that were more the author than the character. But overall I absolutely ADORED the book and can't wait for El's story!!!!!!!

Violet is a combination of a klutz the likes of which you have never seen and a freespirit who would rather be doing anything else but the PA job that she is being paid to do. Her life takes a drastic turn when she is assigned to temporarily fill in for the CEO’s PA in NY.

Axel appears to be a serious no nonsense boss but even he can’t help but be amused at her antics. Although she may not be the most dedicated worker she is certainly entertaining and she allows him to show his humorous side. All good things must end or do they have to?

This book is hilarious and will have you laughing out loud. Violet is over the top but that just makes her more fun especially when she comes up against her stern boss. The next book in this series can’t come soon enough.
